Yeah funny you mention that I was just in a shop today which sells them and my mind started to wonder . Also been thinking about the yellow european style fog lights, bit more "out there" but might look quite good, we'll see. Im assuming you have on your car, you got some pics mate?

Yeah I also thought about Tein springs too, but I have heard they are really stiff and not all that easy for day to day use, could be wrong though!

Good question. It would be interesting if you could measure the vertical distance from the top of your tyre to the arch, as in this thread, then you can compare the heights posted in there of cars fitted with those springs. Is your car pre- or post- the 2001 updates ? If it's pre-update then it sounds like it'd be a bigger drop than for a post-update model. Im not sure mate, what updates were given after 2001? Ive just put up some pictures HERE maybe your able to see visually which one it is. But yeh im definatley going to measure th before and after heights cause I was reading about it alot in the forum and there was alot of confusion and not much conclusion.

Bought my new Lexus about 2 months ago and finally had time to give it a good polish and get some snaps. Its pretty good condition all over except a small dent on the bonet which can easy be fixed and the wheels are badly coroded so definatley getting some new ones. Plans for it are - TTE Chicane wheels (hopefully) dont think any other wheels look as good. - Lowering springs, Looking at TTE 35mm drop. - Sports Grille - Plan to put my sub and amp in too, I had them in my old car and had planned to sell them but realising they were worth about 50 quid together think il keep them. Would quite like to get some extra power, but not all that clued up it. What is quite a common mod for the engine? Not looking for any major, just a little more ooommf, will I say.

Yeah ive been reading up on those springs on here. Looks like a sound option, but will that mean its only a 15mm drop from a 2001 Sport model?

Been looking around for a set of lowering springs not sure which ones to get? Been reading on here about the confusion with models and age etc and the doubt of factory ride height, im certain my Sport has been lowered 15mm from the original. Anyway when it comes to springs is it a case of the more you pay the better they are? I know Tien springs are well renouned for quality but heard they're quite a rough ride. JUst bought a set of Mintex front discs and pads as my current ones are warped! Going to change them out this weekend, but slightly unsure about it. Ive done brakes before but only on a mk4 fiesta which isnt all that difficult. Any usefull tips or pointers would be great guys, cheers! Chris

Hey eveyone, new to the site. Bought myself an IS 200 last week and loving it so far. Looking to make a few mods to it, nothin major but the wheels are quite badly corroded, i've heard its quite common. Was looking to get some 18" Sport or the chicane model.
