I did the search around 6 month ago. the answer for you would be your local Dealer OEM ones, they are only a few pound more than others and OEM fits better.

Timmy K: 400 miles is about £100 I guess
Kam: your MPG is 32.7? that's very very good, I never managed over 28?

IS 200 Auto:
it takes 70L ish and gives me 350M ish in return.
it works in the real would about 25 - 27 MPG in my mixed driving.

just a thought, when you do the water pump, it's quite often people do their cam belt at the same time.

jet wash it, from front and back, or if you want, get someone know what they are doing to steam it for you inc the radiators.
so you can tell if there was some "Curry" on it or if it happens again.
Good luck

I had the same issue when I had a RX from Japan years ago. You need a little adopter to change from 10Mhz to 9Mhz jump (I was told, not sure)
it cost a few pounds on eBay, and you can do it with in 5 mins.
good luck

bit off the topic, but if the MPG is your main reason for the change, I would suggest you an alternative:
get your is200 part exchange to a 04 or 05 Auto IS200SE or sports, and LPG the car after you had it for a month (just to make sure you complete happen with it and give you some time to look around for the conversion)
You will get 50+ MPG (money equivalent ) and much less pollution. + curse control for you motor way daily runs.
220D is not the best idea for you in my view.
Good luck

For the matter of the interest, I did contact both Lex and Toyota in B'ham
Lexus £99.99 inc VAT
Toyota £99.98 inc VAT
however, I am surprised to learn from Toyota " As the AirCon unit is a sealed unit, it shouldn't lose any charge over the time at all!, you must have a leak Mr, we will investigate and inform you the cost of the parts and labour Mr."

can you recommend anyone?
Preferebly in the Merseyside area
I did mine last week, it's ice cold. tested it's 3 degrees!
in your area? the best is try some of local indy (google it), I did consider to use "nationwide" or "quick-fix", after spoke to someone used them before, I changed my mind.
I paid £44 for a full Aircon service.

one thing came in my mind: your ODO will be shown as your new ECU's. you can change it technically. others may help you with that.

mate,
it would cost 2000 to sort it out properly.
however, there is always other ways to resolve any issue.
in your case, the best way in my view is this:
1, get a key cut by the dealer by the database (100 ish) , so you have the blade to open all doors as a "master".
2, get the garage to buy your a ECU for you with a working key from where ever, eBay costs 200 ish (key is not important, the transponder is), use the transponder in your dealer cut key and you have a "master key" to work from.
good luck

Hiya mate,
use the remote to lock/arm the car and wait for 90 seconds for the alarm to set, then you can try things like: using the key to open the door or open the bonnet.
if nothing happens, you got a problem with the alarm system.

Agree above

yes I did mate before I posted here,

Is It Possible To Lock Keys Into Is220D?
in Lexus IS 250 / Lexus IS 250C Club / Lexus IS 220D & IS 200D Club
Posted
I can confirm that My IS200 locks after 30 seconds, if you only open the boot and leave the key in the boot.
My RX350 doesn't, which every way you try it.
haven't got a 220D to try.......
