Hi wylie eyed, I will be interested in seeing the replies here as mine suffers from the same problem, More noticable first thing on a cold morning the car drives like a race car "wants to really get up and go" then later on can be a lazy sort of drive, the car does not want to be rushed. Hope we find the problem! John

Ian, Cheers mate for the help. looking at the link my socket looks just like the one on the earlier models as you have pointed out, "it's the socket i have the problem with now!" not looking as thou i can use a shorting link has to be a code reader. I need a reader with this socket/plug connection.. There must be a fly lead that will connect to the standard connection as used on the OBDII ? I will keep looking ! John
  3. Hi Guys, Iam trying to soarce a code reader for my LS 400 1996 i have found the diagnostic socket, not sure what system mine works with. Have been looking on ebay and the one's i have seen do not have the same socket arrangement, Please help. Cheers John
  4. Searching Google, Had my LS 400 nearly 3 years now perfect motoring, it's the only car i have got out of after a long journey still feeling as good as when i climbed in! :D
