  1. You won't be dissapointed mate....I have them on my Accord Type S and they are a step up from the original Eagle F1, alot smoother ride. I would just double check on the Goodyear website as you might not be able to get a 245 in that rim size and profile so you may have to get something different. The Pirelli P Zeros I believe were tyre of the year I think and come in 225 and 245 fitment etc.
  2. Amazing tyre for sure....but are you sure that is correct....I was under the impression you couldn't get them in a 245 for the rear? Only 225 for the front...
  3. I got 41mpg on a motorway stint - driving very carefully all the way! Has anyone else ever got this on a 2.5SE?! Seems quite good to me?!
  4. Ok the smell is back...interestingly enough it smells similar to the air con smell which I'm having cleaned out this Friday, needs a full bacterial clean I think. Does anyone know if there are air outlets in the boot?
  5. I think I've also accepted the same - end of the week £50 - 60 and miles will be somewhere between 330 - 360 max for me! Either way it's just meant to be a rough estimate and in all fairness it's not too bad mpg wise, just depends how much of a heavy foot you have! Cheers for everyone's input!
  6. Interesting figures buppers! I filled right to the brim on the weekend, had a range of 338 and covered 60 miles so far, the fuel gauge needle hasn't moved too much so far, had a 40 mile motorway stretch which saw 34mpg, the next 20 miles have been around and about town and now average tank mpg has dropped to 29mpg + my sister has just passed her test so she's still getting use to the fact you don't need to put your foot right down - so expect I lost an mpg or 2 there! Either way these figures are miles off yours (excuse the pun)! I'm aiming for 400 miles on this tank, am driving extremely cautiously...you mentioned about snow mode...does that help mpg wise? Mine will always be a mix but mainly town driving, if I can make 400 I'll be happy with that I think!
  7. Hey all, I 'would' suggest Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics, have them on my Accord Type S but they don't do the size for the rears on the IS250 (annoying as they are probably the best tyre I've ever used). Am after a quiet tyre yet good handling. My thoughts so far.... The P Zero seems to be tyre of the year (see below) http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/autoe...e-year-2009.htm http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Pirelli/PZero-Rosso.htm I would easily go with the Zero Rosso for the Ulimate performance without compromising the ride and comfort. Cheers, H
  8. Ah yeah I see what you mean, I think this might have been from the previous owner who just simply hasn't let it air - right I think I will take the floor tray out and leave it outside for the weekend and together with the above hope it cures it! Will post back results! Cheers, H
  9. Just an update for everyone incase anyone is also still wandering what they should be getting..averaged out the mpg a bit on a 100 mile run on the M40 on the weekend and now the tank average is 28 mpg with 90 miles range left. Covered 250 so far on the ODO so am on track for just under 350 miles, expect the mpg average will now drop a couple of marks as the next 90 miles will be around town so estimate around the 26mpg mark at the end - would say this will be a fairly mixed bag of driving with the A/C on around town and motorway. Also full 5 passengers on the 100 miles motorway stretch and a bit of uphill on the M40 from Junction 6 through the 'cliffs' so used the sequential to drop it down a gear for a bit and bit of heavy foot etc. Will post the final results end of the week! Cheers, H
  10. Cheers mate, that seems like a good way forward, think I must have tried every spray in existance! I'll get that ordered this week. Was thinking where there might be a leak from and can't seem to work where it might be if that is the cause. Have driven the car in the wet and checked the boot for dampness etc and nothing. There isn't a rear wash wipe being a saloon so no piping etc that can often burst, so literally if it was a leak would have to be from driving in the rain and somewhere the water is getting in. Any ideas where else might be worth checking?
  11. All, Has anyone experienced a stale smell in the boot, almost like damp? Cannot seem to shift it - no matter how many Odor sprays I try...interestingly enough when I remove the floor pan etc the smell goes which suggest's it's just on the carpet but it's still there lingering. Cheers, H
  12. I had 380 once I'm sure ....when I bought it - probs based on the previous owners style of driving - but more recently 340 is what it shows after filling up to the brim so your figures sound consistant range wise. As for mpg if I'm in 'heavy foot mode' I get low 20's aswell ...otherwise I get around 25mpg average around town, 32 on the motorway. Car has done 60K. A service did make a noticable difference mpg wise by a couple of mpg! Hope this helps!
  13. Ah I think my lights were just having an off day. Seem to be working nicely now. Seem to come on around the 8:30 mark depending how overcast it is really, so seems in accordance with everyone elses! Thanks all!
  14. Ahh this might make sense now, if it's based on your previous driving style. I had presumed it just calculated a fixed amount each time ie a full tank will always give me 400 to start off with and then adjust accordingly as it get's used in accordance with driving style. You see when I got the car it was 1 owner etc which I'm assuming drove fairly 'normally' shall we say hence the first time I filled it up I got nearly 400 miles on the range. Since I've had the car this has now gone down to the 340 mark which would probably be due to my 'heavy foot'. But yep 25mpg is what I get around town and about 30mpg on the motorway - I thought it had to be something odd as these do seem like more than reasonable figures! Thanks for your help all. Cheers. H
  15. Interesting figures! I seem to get 330 - 350 abs max! Could there be something wrong? This is from filling up the tank up fully before I have even set off anywhere. I've reset the ODO so I can see what I actually do get out of it at the end to see if there was any major fluctuation but at the moment it's looking like I'm on track for 300 miles. Mainly town driving, seem to get around 24/25mpg max. Any thoughts? Cheers, H
  16. Anyone?! I'm going to fill up end of the week so will post the range reading then - if anyone has any full range readings please post them up here! Cheers. H
  17. Hey all, What does everyone get after filling up? I'm sure I had around the 360 mark once, seem to get between 320 - 330 max these days. Regards, H
  18. In that case that probably sounds very similar to mine...it was probably closer to 7:30pm - will do a check tonight and post back the results. Thanks for your help mate!
  19. Hmmmm it just seens 7pm is broad daylight still so not sure if something is wrong?!
  20. Hey all, Quick question...when do your auto lights seem to be on? Mine seem to be on from around 7pm which seems pretty light for them to be on at the moment being the peak of summer! Any ideas? Best Regards. H
  21. Ah thought so - i just wasn't sure, bit annoying though I guess but as you said it's simply a hand brake! Cheers.
  22. Ah great! Think I got confused thinking that was the 'master key'. Thanks for your help! Another quick question - I posted a topic regarding the parking brake on an Auto SE. No replies yet..anyone know if it is meant to make the ratcheting sound?!
  23. Hey all. I've seen a key in the IS250 manual with 4 buttons on it. The 4th one being the sound alarm button. Is this for UK models? Only I have two 3 button keys. Cheers! H
