  1. Just completed a survey I received through an email. They said Lexus wanted to know my thoughts on, well this is what they said "Lexus want to understand what customers think of their products and services, to help them make improvements so they can better serve their customers. In order to do this, they are undertaking research with people like yourself who have used their products and services, to get a better understanding of your experiences and expectations." Well all they want to know is how you use your credit cards, nothing about the car, or the garage. So don't waste 30 minutes of your life......
  2. Last Saturday arrived back at Manchester airport after 16days away. We had parked in the meet and great at T2, so our 2009 400h had that morning been moved from the holding car park to T2 and into a numbered bay near the terminal. Got the key went to the car, opened the doors and the power boot/trunk door, loaded up all the wife's Florida shopping, got in and it would not get itself into the ready mode. Double checked the starting procedure, but the battery just became flatter and flatter. Called the Lexus helpline and arranged the AA van to sort us out and get on our way (they arrived within 20 mins) also called the dealer, who should of been open at 9 in the morning. Left a voice message, explained the situation and that I was worried it might be the inverter broken (the same inverter they were replacing 2 days later) But as they never called back, asked the service guy on Monday about the problem. All I seemed to get was the standard reply "yes that happens after 2 weeks in an RX" The Volkswagen Toureg we hired in Florida was a really nice car...............
  3. Went to Lexus Cheshire Oaks yesterday, nice lady booked the vehicle in for the second week of December. She said I would have to hang around an hour while a decision was made on the fault. If one of the faulty ones it would be a 2 day stay and they would give me a car to cover the period.
  4. Just had my inital leter today (22/10/13) from Lexus/vosa about inverter issue, they have said I do not need to take any action now and they will contact me again when the vehicle can be taken in for the necessary repairs. ok what are the repairs and what could happen to the vehicle should this inverter issue become an inverter event. FYI she's a 2009 RX400h special edition (so must be one the last 400h's) Thanks Worried of Wirral :eerrrmm:
  5. Well after the bad first experiance, we loved the RX so much we went back and got ourselves an 09 Excutive Limited Edition in Tyrol Silver with Oakham ivory leather, paid a little extra but we feel it's worth it. Pick it up once the DVLA sort out the plate change (so next year then :winky: ) Let you know how it goes when we do and I will post some pictures when we pick her up
  6. Thanks Guys for your advice, but after going to the local Lexus dealership, I was majorly disappointed with the presentation of the vehicle, filthy dirty, wiper blades falling apart, wheels looked like they had been at the bottom of the Mersey for the last few years, bumps and scrapes. The salesman told me it had not been through the valters dept yet (really? :tsktsk: ) and it would be this week. Well I’m glad we viewed it the condition left by the last owner, and it’s no thanks from us. But it’s not all bad news; my wife drove her on the test drive and loved the smooth ride and power. Just sitting in on the run and I knew we had to have an RX in our lives, just not this one, thank you. The search is on now and I have located a lovely one an hour away, I go in the morning to strike a deal. Very disappointed with the Lexus dealership showing a vehicle in such bad condition, if it's not ready, then it's not ready.
  7. Hi, My wife and I are thinking about the purchase of a Lexus RX400h 2005 with 90k, it is at the local Lexus dealership. Anything we should look for with the RX any known issues, anything to look for on the test drive. Any advice on the subject much appreciated. We will only cover approx. 5k a year and we need a bigger car for out golden retriever and having owned an SC430 in the past we know a Lexus is a nice place to be, plus the local dealership have been in the past a very helpful group of people. Thanks for your help and let’s hope we can make this work. ;)
  8. Hi, thanks again. I have tried my local Lexus dealer (Chester) spoke to the guy in the service department and he said this was not available to UK Lexus owners but he was willing to organize some Yank add on for £1000 ish. So I tried emailing Lexus UK for advice and I am still awaiting a reply. May have to approach a Lexus independent garage at this rate.....all she want's are the doors too lock as she moves off the same as her old SLK.. :(
  9. Hi Mr/Miss Aquanuke 20mph would be fine (anything 1+ mph really, Lexus say it's 13mph) or even doors lock when lever moved from Park to another range. If you have doors unlock when placing vehicle into park that would also be of help. Many thanks Stevie
  10. Hi can anyone help me with my first posting it regards the doors locking automatically? Has anyone had the dealer set this using the Lexus Personalized Service? Thanks
