I didn't see the light on no... Odd I mean it runs for a bit then koncks out...

Just touching base here, I think it's the alternator but just need to check... Car lights went out then car stopped dead, got a jump start and managed to get home... car died and battery went totally flat, I thought it may be the battery so got the AA out and they said battery... changed battery and same thing happened... Is there anything else this can be ? If not I'll get a new Alternator...

So after doing that I can see the two levels cold and hot, when doing above as I have done the level just touches the hot mark... Should it ideally be any higher ? there is a third mark a few inches above the hot one.

Hi I have a 1996 automatic transmission the oil in it is just on the lower marker when turning over how should I top up the gearbox oil ?

Hi, I have not done this for about 30,000 miles... I have 2.5 litres of fluid... What should I do… also is there a filter as well ?

OK So if it's hot you should get Evans non water coolant... I changed mine first time in 3 years a few months ago...

Hi My gs300 needs a coolant flush and also the reservoir seems to have blocked so water does not get pulled into engine when there is a need for it to top up... First question… best practice for coolant renewal second uestion.. I thought the coolant was under pressure so how does the reserviuour work ? and how would it get blocked ? Thanks

the engine does misfire at initial inanition until the engine warms up… then it run s smoothly...

is the exhaust meant to be so hot ? mine is really very hot... but nothing else seems wrong...

Hi, How can I get my engine tuned ? seems to be doing at most 29 miles per gallon averaging about 24 miles per gallon…. also seems to be running quite hot although the water indicator is fine... also is the water meant to be pressurised ? the pipe from the water overflow tank seems to be blocked…. Thanks...

I over filled the air-conditioning as the gauge seemed not to work when filling, I disconnected and checked and it's around 80 psi This is a 1995 GS 300. Air con is still working but would like to drain a bit off…. How do I get some fluid out again ? Thanks….

Thanks. where did you get the radius arms from ? I can't find them anywhere... Lexus Yes they have them @ £200 + each I think...

So a really crap job then ? I have the new rubbers how easy are they to fit ? Should I just scrap the car then ?

So it should not take too long ? Hi, My GS300 is in dire need of a new radius control arm on both sides... I bought the Rubber Bushes from the states so that the original Lower and radius control arms can be reconditioned. I also took the precaution of ordering the bots for both from Lexus themselves… £73... How long should I expect a Garage to take to remove both Radius and lower control arm from both sides press out the old Bushes and press in the new and replace ?

Hi, I have replaced virtually every part of the from suspension assembly, apart from the lower and radius control arm bushes which I have now received from the states. Problem is I can't find anyone who will do the job.

Hi, I have a Lexus GS 300 1995/ 6 and it has a mechanical fan on the radiator ( OK) the small fan is electric… Temp oK on long journeys but on short journeys it seem to go right up and then sometimes it will stabilise even at standstill… any Idea's ??

Hi, I've got loads of clunking going on now when I turn hard or there is pressure on ball joints etc… I want to replace ball joints and bushes on both sides…. Is ebay the best place ? Also since I have had my brakes and disks done I guess this is why I now have a bit of judder when I brake while turning at speed ?
