I had the plate fitted yesterday. I asked if it was the enhanced one and the guy didn't know what I was talking about. He didn't even offer to find out and let me know. I bought my first pre-owned RX in 2008, the customer service was second to none. Have bought 3 more since then (one was stolen) and each time the CS deteriorated. My latest experience with Lexus Hull was abysmal. Lexus just ain't what they used to be 😒

Thanks. Yes, service book is stamped 1 June and I've not done that many miles since purchasing. The power error message I was trying to locate, came up again yesterday - only appears when I start the car and is there for around 5 mins. It says: 'High power consumption Partial limit on AC/heater operation' Any ideas?

Hi. I bought my preowned 69 plate RX450H from Lexus Hull dealership 6 months ago (appalling dealership btw). It was supposedly serviced before purchase I'm now getting 2 error messages: 1. Oil maintenance required soon; 2. Yellow flashing triangle with exclamation mark with an error message. This is along the lines of there being a power issue, and the heated seats/steering wheel become inoperable - this message only flashes up briefly and I can't remember the exact wording. Can anyone enlighten me as to what the wording was likely to be, so I can point my mechanic in the right direction? Cheers

You are right, it would be useful for that, although there is a service mode that you can activate for those purposes too.

I decided not to use the fob anymore. I took it out of my bag and removed the battery. However, when I went out this afternoon, the Ghost beeped twice without my entering the code and the car started! When I got home I saw the spare key and fob on.the hall table (my son had used it half an hour earlier) and wondered if the car had 'read' that fob. I went out again to test if it would do again but it didn't so a bit of a mystery. NB. Have now taken the battery out of the spare fob too.

I did complain and got the installer to come back. Apparently it is Lexus/the car that determines which buttons can be used. Subsequently, i was provided with a fob so the car now knows it's me when I get in and I don't need to enter the code. Am slightly concerned though, whether this can be accessed by thieves in.the same way they access keys using the relay method. I did ask the installer this question and all they said was that the fob can't be cloned.

Hi. Yes, I checked with my insurance and they are not interested, therefore no reduction in premium.... The Milenco is good. Very easy to fit/remove, not too heavy and doesnt damage the steering wheel. I had to return the first one I bought though as too often the key wouldn't go fully into the lock - once it took me 10 minutes to get the damn thing off.

Hi LenT. Am getting on well with it but was initially very disappointed with the limited buttons available to use for the 'password'. Having seen videos of the ghost2 in action, I had planned to use those on the steering wheel but not one was available - it was mainly the buttons on the panel that operate the heating etc

Hi. Yes I did get stickers but the jury is out as to whether I'll affix them or not. Not entirely sure I want to give thieves the heads up as to the security system installed. No idea if you can buy them separately.

I've now had the Ghost immobiliser fitted. As well as a motion sensor security light, Faraday pouch (I regularly check it's still effective) and the steering wheel lock, I'm not sure there's much more I can do. In addition, my kind neighbour has put up a security camera that covers my car. I'm not bothering with a tracker, as they are too easy to find and remove and I want to prevent the car being stolen in the first place. If thieves really want the car, it won't stop them, so I all I can do is to make it as difficult as possible for them.

I had my 2018 RX450H stolen last week - it was 3ft away from my house. I assume it was relay theft. I have MS and the car had a hoist fitted and my mobility scooter inside. I have found a replacement and in preparation before collecting it, have ordered a Milenco steering wheel lock and Faraday pouch. Am now looking into getting a ghost immobiliser fitted. Anyone have any advice/recommendations please for brands/fitters? I am in Hertfordshire. Many thanks

I have a 2004 Rx300 with the original sat nav disc (04-05). Wanted to update maps but didn't want to spend £160 at Lexus dealers. Found a new set of 3 Toyota discs (10-11) on auction site and took a chance and bought them. The sat nav knows my location and also my destination when I input it but when I press 'enter' it says 'no route found'. Any ideas as to what is wrong or have I just wasted my money?! Thanks

........or are some more equal than others?!! I need to put a towbar on my beloved rx300 and am wondering if some are less ugly than others? I did go down the detatchable route at first but have decided that a large towbar may prevent other idiot drivers from getting too close & scraping my rear bumper again ( 3 scrapes in a year - the first just two weeks after getting the car ). Also, I want to put a cycle carrier on the towbar and just want the easy and slightly cheaper option. The towbar firm have mentioned Witter or PCT (whatever that is?)- is one better than the other? However, am also concerned about the bumper cut I am told is needed. Any advice or opinions would be appreciated before my car goes under the knife!
