  1. I suggest you will need camber adjusters if the front has dropped over 30mm as the negative camber will be outside of the geometry tolerances, and the second generation IS only has toe adjustment. Although the contact patch with the road has only moved slightly and the road holding is still OK, you'll get inner tyre wear. Thanks for the info tango, where would i purchase those from as i intend to get the geometry set up again properly using your measurments to avoid tyre wear.
  2. yes found the ride quality exactly the same as the standard springs which is good and it has lowered the car nicely.
  3. Sprins from H & R now fitted and look amazing, dropped about 35-40mm...piccies to follow when weather picks up
  4. same question to be honest? what springs was your car lowered on. juts put 18's on mine and it needs a 1" drop for definate. cheers car now lowered on H & r springs and looks amazing piccies to follow
  5. never had a problem with mine except the squeeky seat and lexus hull sorted it for free within 20 mins...
  6. took my is220D out whilst icy/snowy this week and drove it home after five mins and swopped for the jeep.........jeessuss was it a pig to drive, even with traction control on
  7. apparently not. Not for me anyway. I shouldn't be forced to crank up my stereo and pretend its all good! By the way, whe the rattles started in the beganing while I have music on. I almost though I blowed my speakers at Vol 18! exactly, with the money you paid for the car I agree it should be right, turning up the stereo shouldn't be necessary... i am a lucky ish 220D owners as the only annoying bit it the squeeky seat which there is a simple fix for but i havent got round to doing it yet. cant be bothered to be without the car for a week whilst its at lexus for them to prob send it back the same...lol well changed my mind and rang lexus..........booked in friday, told will take half and hour to fix....proper helpful dealers... Lexus Hull Read the dealer reviews for Lexus Hull good reviews i think.....but...so do 'lexus sheffield' and 10 weeks ago i gave them my personal details and asked them to find me a lexus. they still havent called me back despite me calling them every week for the first four weeks...........at the end of the first month of waiting the manager who was supposed to be sorting it out went on holiday and didn't ask anyone to continue look for a car for me!!!!! it was only when i rang up they 'found' my details and assured me they would find a car asap and call me. i gave them price range, colour and left the rest to them................ still no call....... i have since bought a lexus from an independant dealer and have had it three weeks now, and, you guessed it lexus sheffield still havent called me to say they havent or have found me a car... personally wouldn't recommend Lexus Sheffield to anyone due to my experience with them Lexus HULL all the way for me....excelelnt service etc
  8. Thats great! Do you know what cause this and how they fixed it? A 10 min fix sound like easy stuff. Maybe I can do it myself... its something to do with seat pins left in during the manufaturing process which are not actually needed in the seat...if its under warranty they should do it for free if not there is a post on this site somewhere which tells you how to do it.
  9. my dad does the guys accounts and has found out for me that he bought it from an auction for £6k has sent £3k in parts and £1.3k in labour. so my original price for £8k was incorrect. its now gonna cost just over £10k :tsktsk: , he says he wont make any profit off me as he's a friend of ours but would put it on for around £12k to anyone else. damn! i've gone from being ecstatic at the idea of owning a lush set of wheels to being deflated by people saying its a crap model to being distraught over having to pay £2k more than what thought i would!!! i will still go and see exactly what kind of job they've done and if i buy it will get a £250 RAC vehicle inspection done on it - btw who/whats WIM? seems expensive for a cat D. My 07 220d only cost 13K froma dealer and is wasnt damaged.. yes yours is a year newer but damaged cars drop value massivly, i should know i've had three in the past and only just sold one.
  10. link for H & R springs the link should be the one above springs ordered, will post piccies when they are fitted, before and after etc.
