Hello to you all, I have had a 1995 LS400 mark 3 for several years now, with hardly any problems, eccept that i get a knocking sound fron the front nearside wheel.. I have had it into several garages, but they say they can't find anything, also it has gone through several MOT's without any problems.. It has come to the point that i am now listening for it all the time (driving me nuts).. can anyone help, or even sort it for me, i will pay hansomely to get the job done.. Looking for some advice with a 1997 LS400.

Everything works as it should, no warning lights, no problems below 4000 RPM.

If you floor the throttle whilst either in N or D the car won't rev beyond 4000. The emissions have been checked and are perfect.

Also the recovery guy was certain it was the left CAT.

I'm looking for ideas.

Hello. I have a 1995 ls400 and mine was the same...After numerous enquiries I was told that they have some form of rev limiter on them, so they cant be over reved...Try it whilst under driving conditions, I think you will find its ok and will rev far beyond the 4000..Anyway mine ok now so its worth a try.....Hope it works for you ...Cheers Roy.

Hello all.I have just had my Air Conditioner filled up, and I noticed that when I switch it on it runs for several seconds and then stops,after a short while it runs then stops again, and so on...Is this normal, and sometimes when it on, it seems noisy..Any help would be appreciated...Thanks Roy.

Hello all...Had this problem with my old 1995 Lexus LS 400...Had it in the garage several times, but they say nothing is wrong.( Still knocking when I go over bumps ) They say all the joint and bushes are OK....HELLO but something is wrong...Why Lexus have not done anything abouts this is beyond me..Mine might be an old car, but I wont be getting a new car unless something is done a.s.a.p.. Just to let you all know that my breaker is about to go, please contact me if you want any MK-III parts for your cars. It is a navy blue car with a grey interior. Parts gone are: springs, PS pump, steering rack, rear suspension, diff, boot lid, radio, CD, time clock, front brakes, mirrors, and a few bits of trim..... BUT there is still loads of bits left.

Hello, Had the car into two garages who have checked all the front end suspension....but nothing to be found, although they both accept the fact that there is a slight knock on the front end, when going over rough ground....so I am still no further....any of you guys had any better luck.....Cheers Roy.

Roy,pair of front wishbones were about &265 plus vat (which i can reclaim)

You can get them cheaper on ebay,about £150 all in.However the ones I bought

from rockauto are guaranteed for 5 years,and I prefered to pay the extra for

what I think maybe a more durable product.

Hi, Sorry to hear about the Damage....I would make the parents pay....They are obviously the type that dont care what their kids do...Enough to give you a heart attack isn't it...Challenge the parents and tell them you are going to inform the Police unless they cough up......Good Luck.

Roy,get your garage to double check a spring isn't broken.

I had knocking when going over speed humps and mechanic noticed play on n/s wishbone.

I ordered a pair from rockautoparts and when he fitted them he told me he'd found a

broken spring as well! Ordered a pair from toyota and Bobs your mother's brother ...

magic carpet ride restored.

Hi, Mine packed up on my 1995 mark 3...Could not start the car, had it towed away by the AA...and Lexus remove and make safe, cost £100..Will be having new one fitted soon....No more messing around...phew.
