ive fitted a 7" xenarc into a housing without any problems
yes it is a tight fit due to the control board, but its do-able
instructions for building the unit and making the buttons work can be found on is300.net in the mobiletronics section
-
It's polished chrome all over
Comes with IS300's, and certain models of IS200 (e.g. limited edition yellow IS and the '04 SportsDesign series)

if its an is200 why does it have headlight washers?
-
the xerd headers DO NOT fit the RHD IS300,, but the race pipe does,
now i wonder what that guy in houston says to that fact...
i would suggest just getting the pre cats removed,,
damn
prolex do you forsee a header being designed in the future at all? perhaps the is300 will become more popular as prices drop in lieu of the is250 release
-
Would you be interested in a XERD racepipe? If you are send me a PM.
nah, already got the race pipe thanks
-
Fargo has a RHD 300 and fitted Xerd headers to his car.....may be worth a PM
Really? I thought Fargo only had the Xerd racepipe like me. He mentioned in his thread that he was going to sell the headers
I called their (Xerd) distributor in Houston a while back and they confirmed the headers fit the RHD IS300 without modificationsWell, if they do fit, then it would be fantastic!

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows of any headers which exit for RHD IS300's? Or whether there are plans in the pipeline for some to be developed? Headers are one of the basic mods for NA power, yet its frustrating when the only ones available in the US wont fit RHD cars
-
in the boot keyhole
though u will only be able to open the boot suing the key as a result
-
2JZ, is your car RHD?
And if so do you think you will need to modify the kit to fit your engine bay?
-
actually i just checked
http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/engine...ulley_data.html
unfortunately there isnt one for the igfe from hks
but perhaps another manufacturere has one
-
i think hks have an exhaust cam gerar for the igfe (no intake gear due to vvti)
-
yeah its only on one side of the car, though not sure if the UK is300's have them or not
what i have done is disconnect the plug and power up the lights, and it does not seem to have any effect on their operation
in any case, i may have to ask my local lexus service dept when they reopen after the easter break
Bazza, indeed there is more, and more to come
I've got a little list in the link in my sig
-
nup, no daytime lights overe here
thats what i thought too at first
so i unplugged it and then tried turning on the lights and no problems
-
though i think the is250 may weigh more than the is300 which may indeed cause it to be slightly slower
but i agree the focus over at is300.net is hp

Hello all
I am wondering what this device pictured below actually does/is. Its got a single plug goimg into it, and thats it
It also appears to have an ohm rating on the side
Any ideas?
(I have an IS300)
Thanks

Hmm, I had no idea that it was you who wrote the original document. And it was not my intention to offend anyone. So I have removed your diagram and added my own, and provided a link to the original document. Will this be ok?
Only wanted to help people perform the mod with the benefit of switch and detailed pictures....
i've done the fog mod for a few altezza club members and so decided to do a step by step dummies guide to the installhttp://www.accsoft.com.au/~quantum/is300/fogmod.htm
i thought it prudent to have a switch so the mod can be disabled when necessary
also, credit is due to the original writer of the instructions, and again do it at your own risk!
:tsktsk: would have been nice to ask me before using my diagrams etc

If you don't want the alarm on then lock the car with the key and not the remote.
However the alarm will not drain a fully working battery in two weeks.
the alarm will still arm itself
what i do is leave the car unlocked and stow it in the garage
-
nah its easy
just wrap one end of a wire to the outer prongs of the rca plug, and ground the other end
this solved my video problem, but then i got some alternator whine
i solved that with a ground loop isolator
-
wow that jenssen ground loop isolator is very expensive
i have a similar problem (horizontal line scrolling upwards) which i believe is related to the modified sine wave
i tried grounding the xbox - no good
then i tried grounding the video cable connector (not the inner pin, but the outer shield) to the car and it significantly (99.9%) reduced the problem!
Im gonna try grounding both ends of the video cable to see if that can totally get rid of the problem
