  1. the best i've ever achieved is 38 mpg and that was driving back from City of London to Brighton. mine is 2005 rx400h with approx 80.000 miles the battery is discharging a lot more than it used to .
  2. yes and it's no where near as comfortable to drive as the RX400 but my running costs will go from £100 a week to approx £5 (assuming I can plug it in as you say) Someone needs to invent a rapid recharge for batteries - equivalent to the time it takes to fill up with 60 ltrs of fuel (2 mins). 3 hours is a joke on the Nissan Leaf
  3. Considering the Vauxhall Ampera at the moment. Seems a pretty good bit of kit IMO. Anyone else have any thoughts on this car?
  4. Fairly tempted with the plug-in Prius 2014 but I prefer the RX The govt are offering 75% or up to £1000 off the installation of home chargers for electric vehicles.
  5. 37 MPG over 278 miles is excellent! I've had the RX400h for 3 years now and I average 33 MPG over 330 miles. I used to drive very carefully but I just got bored and I find the RX400h to fun to drive when you want to throttle it on a full charge. The car is very heavy and it does very well to achieve over 30MPG on average compared to other cars of a similar weight that are non-hybrids.
