Was routing through the car today and found that my spare is an 18" rim while my wheels are all 16. My tyres are 225/55/16 while the spare is a Pirelli PZero 245/40/18, I cant use this can i? even as a get me home tyre? So wondered if it is an original 10" rear sport wheel and if so keeping in mind the alloy has some kerbing marks but the tyre is in mint condition with about 5 mm tread how much would i be wanting through ebay? (I am not trying to sell this here so hope i am not breaking any rules by asking these questions) Any help would be great, This is the wheel

Sent a v62 off for the Lex a while ago which needed Vin, Now the plate under the bonnet is not very clear and they have sent another letter requiring the vin off the plate under the bonnet not off reg docs (which i haven't got), My question is :- Where else if anywhere can i get the Vin number from? I know some manufacturers stamp on door bottom under carpet but dont want to drag carpets up if it's not there. Sorry it's a gs300 1997 sport. Any help would be great.

Well he found an easy option rather than having to make a loom to the boot. He's wired into the audio out from the stereo, The only snag is the ringer is amplified so even on lowest volume it's still quite loud (but i can live with that) the in call options for some reason isn't a problem, the volume works fine. So a free parrot Ck-3200 and £15 to fit makes Dylan a very happy bunny. Thanks again for the help Tigerfish.

Thanks for that, after a call to friend of a friend that will do the work for between £15 and £25 i have decided to leave well alone and get him to do it. I know he's good as he does all the gaffers limo's audio. Thanks again. :)

Well i've had a look at the diagram and the stereo and it's beyond me :( . I think i'm going to have to have it installed. Dont suppose anyone has fitted one or anything similar to a gs. This is the back of the stereo and even with the diagram kindly supplied by tigerfish i still cant work out what to tap in to. There is power already there from some other kind of handsfree so no problem there. I can work out what is coming out of the amp to speakers but not from stereo. (or do you have to tap in after the amp?) As i say unlees someone has done one i think i might be better getting it done, Usually i'm ok with stereo's but this is not as straight forward as i hoped either that or i'm being extremely thick.

I know tigerfish has done quite a few help topics on the mk1 but i cant seem to find a stereo wiring diagram. I have just set about fitting the parrot bluetooth system that was given me and looks as if i need to hard wire it as ebay only do adapters for 2000 onward and i cant seem to find one anywhere else. I have found on here a wiring diagram for the mk2 but am struggling to find one for the mk1, Any help would be great and thankyou in advance for any guidance given Dylan.

On most cars if you have the air on recirculate it will warm up quicker in the car but if left on recirculate will steam up, Dont know if this is your problem though. try (if applicable) the fresh air option.

I would be tempted to check the bonnet switch. Most false alarms that are not down to in car sensors i have found to be the bonnet (or switch) needing adjusting slightly. ( I might not be right but well worth a look )

I had a 3.2 V6 Trooper on lpg and that went through mot every time on gas with no problems, emmisions were about 0.018 virtually zero. I dont think he knows what he's talking about. Try another tester.

Yes you are right to take as you find, But it just seemed to me (especially with the cup holder) he thought of a price and tripled it. Or is £30 ok for the cup holder (only ejecting part)? Could well be me new to used lexus part prices. If that is so i'm glad i found someone like me that didn't know the value.

Well there was a couple of things i needed Cup holder for one, and i have a couple of issues with my keys so i enquired about a full set of locks with keys. I was quite exited to find a local breaker advertising on Ebay Puremoto-of-chesterfield, He is actually about a mile from me. Phoned him up and asked about just the ejecting part of the cup holder £30 Then asked about locks with keys £100 . Do they think the parts are gold plated? Anyway i went to another vehicle breaker (had to travel about 7 miles) I got the whole console from the ashtray back including all switches, gear knob and some box that recieves some kind of signal (guessing central locking reciever for fob) for £15 plus vat and he wants £40 for the full set of locks with keys. I hope puremoto does well but at them prices i'm afraid i wont be using him. Anyone else had shocking breaker prices and do all specific Lexus breakers have these kind of prices?

The only trouble with that theory is other peoples iphones work, Do the iphones automatically update?

Would a flash player update do it maybe?
