  10. thanks kam05, if the funds dont go as far as a 1s300 is the auto that bad on the 200?? also whats the avg amount of miles you can get from a full tank ? thanks again.
  11. hi am new to the loc, i was trying to find out the same thing for my girlfriends dad as he has a gs300 18" alloys i one of them had cracked on the iner side of the rim (god dam pot holes on low pro tyres) and could'nt find the same one to replace it after alot of searching and coming up with nothing i phoned one of the big alloy wheel companys and made out i wanted to buy a new set to get the info out of them, from what he was saying you can down size the alloy wheel but to have to keep the rolling road size of the wheel the same eg 18" alloy + 2" for tyre = 20" total if you down size to 17" you have to make it up with a 3" tyre = again 20" total if you dont then you 1 will end up with a lower car to the ground that in turn will give you bad road handlying and also will lower your mpg he did start to go on about gear ratios and how it can damage the gearbox ect ect but by then he had lost me lol. hope this helps.
  12. hi guys, am new here you may have been asked this so many times in the past, which is better the IS200 or IS300? in an auto (i know there ant alot of manual 300's around) i have had a few cars over the years with small 1.3l engines (almost killed the poor car) and big engines like 4.0l jeep AWD and a vectra with a 2.5l v6 FWD have neaver had a RWD car tho, the main thing i can not get my head around is how much more fuel the 300 uses over the 200 my girlfriends dad has a older GS300 which goes like a rocket when he wants it to but does have a good mpg should he drive nomal, having read 100's of reviews on both size engines, from what i understeand the 200 auto seems to lack power in low revs ? is this the case if so do you find that you are having to drive the car harder in which case are you using more fuel than you would in a 300 model? sorry for a long ish 1st post any help that you can give would be great thanks.
