  1. The general warranty period for the IS300h in the UK is 3 years or 30000miles whichever comes first. In North America however the equivalent vehicle; the ES300h, has a 5 year 50000mile warranty. Are we Brits being conned?
  2. I also am awaiting delivery of my new 300h in September. I was quoted £882 minus 10% discount i.e. £794 for 3 services at 10000miles intervals . 19 monthly installments of £40ish. The quote is based on an estimated 15k miles/annum. I'm not sure if this is value for money, particularly as posts on this forum suggest that service intervals should be 12k miles not 10k quoted in the service plan.
  3. I contacted Lexus Teeside today and was told the service interval is 10000miles not 12000miles. Does anyone have the documentation to give a definitive answer
  4. My 59 plate is220d is due a 10k oil change. The Handbook states ACEA C2 [fully synthetic] 5W;30. Went to Lexus Dealer; who offered me semi-synthetic oil. I got into a debate with the Head mechanic and the service manager who both maintained that using semi-synthetic is OK - its what they put in all Lexus's they said. I'm sceptical, and think they should be following Lexus's recommendations as stated in the handbook. What do you think?
