  1. Had same problem. Error was "Absolute Map Pressure". Acc to Lexus is not a problem to drive the car since all errors make the car use default values. However the engine stalls at contant RPM every now and then and also the blinking lights are annoying!Problem is fixed temporarily when when I switch the engine off for 15-20 minutes and then restart the engine and will re-appear after between 2 hours and 2 weeks.
  2. Got the error code: P0150 (has to do with MAP- Manifold Absolute Pressure) Mtime workshop reset the ECU and CEL TRC OFF lights are now off Will "punish" the car's throttle tonite and see if I get the same problem again Any ideas how can this be sorted out? Thanks
  3. One thing at a time: - I should know the error code within today and will post it -Precats have not been removed -The last mod was actually the S/C and the muffler back in 2002. I never had any problems till this moment. -Can dodgy petrol cause this problem? Many thanks again
  4. Yesterday while driving at 6th gear doing about 70miles/h, the engine light on the dashboard went on. At the same time the TRC OFF light started flashing. (The TRC was on-never switched it off). I went to the side of the road waited for 20 minutes and restarted the engine. The engine light was off and I was to drive for another hour at varying speeds until the engine light came on and TRC OFF started flashing. Now it stays on all the time. The only symptom is when I drive at high constant RPM (above 4000) there is every now and then a momentarily loss of power Any ideas what can this be? The car is fitted with S/C and HKS Hipermuffler and has 80,000km on the odo. Clutch disc must be slightly worn but still bearable as the "car's throtle is abused" very rarely. Thanks vm
  5. It's standard in a lot of TOYOTA models. Very easy to find. Should be abt 1.5 Quid.
  6. Same here (rattling or as though something loose is resonating) although it sounds as though it's coming from behind the instrument panel (car is LHD). Mine is with S/C and HKS hyper muffler, so after 3000RPM the noise is completely "muffled". Also the warmer the engine gets, the noise reduces. If I step on the gas for a while then the noise disappears completely. Car has 60k kmeters (abt 37k miles) and will go for service next week. Guess we'll see then.
  7. Noted however don't think I can wait that long. The tires are so worn on the inside that on the edge the grooves have almost disappeared. Rear tires are sort of ok(normal wear)-can wait till winter for those. Anyway will order tomo a set. Hopefully the steering misalignment will only be due to camber change/tire wear and not due something else (will know next week)
  8. -A few days ago I noticed that when the steering wheel is on 0 degrees position, the (front)wheels were very slightly off to the right. Took the car to LEXUS and they said that looking at the wear on the front tires-plenty of it on the inside part- the camber had changed possibly due to large pot hole or speed bump. They suggested to change the tires, drive around a couple of days and then take the car for alignment to a specialist shop (they don't do it). Is it right or they will come up with something new after the alignment? -They also suggested the 'Continental sport contact 2' tires were the best. (might the fact that they stock them be relevant?!?) <_< Any thoughts on the above...
