  1. Hello mate I've just got your message about the IS-F 19" alloys. would have got back to you quicker but i've been out of the country. Are the 19's still for sale do you know & if so whats the asking price? Cheers for the help.

  2. Don't know i'd not thought about that, I was thinking about getting some winter tyres on them BUT I have to source a new set first & I don't reckon I'll get any joy on this forum as it's the worst one I've ever been a member of for people not helping you out.
  3. I currently have 17" standard alloys on my IS220d which I have recently had refurbished into a nice smoke chrome & in my opinion they look awesome on the grey IS. I however think that the wheels need to be 18" to again improve the look, I'd even consider 19" despite the tyre price. I am after a standard set of Lexus wheels, the same style as the current ones if possible. I am a big believer in keeping with the original styling so am not after any aftermarket wheels. If you can help or know somewhere I can get hold of a set please let me know. Cheers attachment=5950:Wheels Compared.JPG]
  4. I have a 57 reg IS220d with the old E10 software on which can be annoying at times. I'm wanting to update it but am not willing to shell out over £100 to do it. Can anyone help me out?
  5. Cheers for the advice, I'm only toying with the idea of changing & you've said a few things I'd not thought of & I didn't realise you had to replace in pairs. I found the halogen blubs a bit crap with poor visability but the Xenon bulbs I have bought for £28 from Halfords did help massively & the light is white, not blue so I don't look like a little chav. I'm actually thinking that the headlight level may just need adjusting, the light projected seems a bit low so that might be all the problem is. I'll look into it. Thanks again.
  6. I am looking to upgrade my IS220 SE headlights to Xenon's. I have bought a set of Xenon gas filled bulbs which have made a bit of a difference but only bought these as a bit of a stand in until I could upgrade properly. I would prefer Lexus ones like fitted to the IS250 but can't find any & going to Lexus direct the cost a fortune & I may have to sell an organ to be able to buy them. So getting to the point I have looked into HID conversion kits & was wondering if anyone has experience with them & if they are worth the money & still legal as I know MOT rules have recently changed. I have found the following 2 websites that sell them. http://www.convert2xenon.co.uk/lexus-xenon/160-lexus-is220-is250-2005-hid-xenon-lights-conversion-kit.html http://www.hidkits.co.uk/H11-Xenon-HID-Conversion-Kits/ The thing I'm most worried about is buying crap for lots of money but also what type do I need, the standar or the CAN-Bus type? I would really appreciate any advice or experience anyone has on these kits.
  7. I am trying to get a set of Xenon headlights for my 57 plate IS220 SE. I have looked into HID kits but would prefer the proper ones. I think they come on the IS220 Sport & IS250 but am not sure. If anyone knows where I can get a set for UK road use or has a set for sale could you let me know. Cheers
  8. Hello everyone, this is my 1st post as i've just joined the forum. I bought a 57 Reg IS220d about a month ago & have found that my average fuel gauge is showing 27.7mpg & when I fill up the tank range is showing about 480 miles. I drive mainly around town but have had a few long trips & never drive loke an idiot but the MPG has never gone up. I have read a little into the filter cleaning problem & wondered if mine could be suffering with that. A friend of mine who's an Alfa 159 owner told me that it's possible on Alfa's to get that filter removed (Not sure on the name of the filter) & the engine remapped to improve consumption & get a few more BHP. So what I am after really is a bit of info. If anyone knows if this is possible on the IS220 & if anyone's had it done, is it any good & what sort of cash will I be having to part with? I would greatly apreciate help of more knowlegable people on this front.
