You know the "drum" thing which is a part of the back wheel (excuse my non jargon desc!!!). They are slightly rusty.......is there a speacial paint or a normal paint you can use to tidy these up????? Ive just done my back calipers bright red, and I want the whole lot to look sweet......... cheers all :zee:

Who heres got a girlfriend? Ive got one, she drives a car, the Lexus, its actually hers, cos I want a motorbike, never the less its my pride and Joy. I told her NOT to drive up kerbs etc, cos the wheels will get scratched. A year later Ive finally got it thru to her, but its took prolly 10 scrapes and crap on the passsenger side wheels. After the salty grit, it looks like the wheels under the "skin" of the wheel is salt corroded. Is there a way I can get the wheels looking new again?????? cheers all :zee:

Ive had some problems with me CD Changer in my IS200 Sport. The CD got jammed in Decmeber. Still under warranty I called the dealer, who told me to bring it down. I went down they looked, they said.....oooo thats knackered that, I'll have to order a new one. So 3 weeks later I get the call, come down sir your radios in. Back down the a19 to the dealer. Get's home, try to insert CD......the dash readout says its full. try to eject, ERR msg.....on fone again, Dealer says, you'll have to bring it down.......back I go......dealer, oh theres a fault, we'll have to order a new one in........so 2 weeks later back down. I live around 50 miles away, so you can imagine Ive clocked up quite a few miles.......shy bairns get no sweets so I ask if theres any sort of re enbursment I can have. The guy in the dealer say's its not something her can authorise, I need to speak to Lexus Customer Service. So I do so, and am told the dealer should not of said that. They contact the dealer.......2 days later a call from the dealer, very sorry etc etc.....as a good will, the next service will be half price. In which I am very happy about. Thanks Lexus!

Ive got the same problem. Ive now had it into the dealers about 3 times.....twice it stopped before I got there ( sods law ) the 1 time it did squeek, they fixed it........for about 4 hrs, when I got it back it was there again. Its acually embarrasing.

Dont worry its not me being rude......I was gunna post this in the other forum, but its not really wheels and tyres......soz to the admin if this is wrong. Ive just finished painting me calipers, replaced the wheels and one of the bolts that come out of the brake disk has just snapped off when tightening. Im no mechanic but a mans strength should not snap these right? question, is it safe to drive with one of these missing, and are these bolts which stick out of the disk actually stand alone, or are they a part of the disk, and the disk now needs replacing???? Please help Many Thanks

I went to Lexus Newcastle, I was after an IS200 Sport, the guy offered me only 8k part ex for my Mini 1......I travelled 30 miles south to Lexus Yarm, and they gave me 9.7k for my mini 1.......only loosing 1200 in 2 years. Thats some variance that!!!!

Hiyall, Im new to this site, but seeing as Im now a proud owner...will be stopping around. I got mine 2 weeks ago, and got it with the Lexus body kit. Mine is granite sky, but the grill at the front is black, and I wan a stainless steel one. Ive found a stainless steel worker in the north east who can do this, all I have to do is take the current one off and take it to him. I will let you know what he will charge ok!!!!

Hi All.... Ive just recently bought my new baby, a lexus IS200 Sport. I got the lexus body kit ( Front, side and rear skirts ). I want to replace the front grills shown here, with new stainless steel ones. problem is I cant seem to get the bumper off, to access the lower grills. I can find screws in the following places:- 2 Each side, just inside the main headlight. 1 in the middle at the top. 2 underneath at the front. But this is all I can find....does anyone know how to remove the front bumper???? Muchos gracios!!!!!
