On cleaning my (2nd hand) IS200 for the first time a couple of weeks back, I found that it had two dents alongside the aerial. They're quite shallow, but each cover an area of about 4 inches diameter. Only really noticable when the car is nice and clean, but noticeable nonetheless.
Does anyone have any clue as to how much it would cost to have something like this repaired? I presume that it require the roof lining to be removed to do something like this.
What really p*sses me off is that I just got this car about a month ago, and when I went to pick it up, and as I'm handing over the cash, the dealer says, "by the way, there's a very small dent the car has picked up since you were here earlier, don't worry - we'll have it fixed for you." This dent is on the top of one of the rear wings, just at the bottom corner of the rear screen. Of course I've now managed to convince myself that the dents on the roof were done at the same time, in between me agreeing to buy the car and going back to pick it up. However, the dealer will be more difficult to convince, I feel.
I'm still waiting, a month on, to get the dent on the wing repaired. I'm going to take the car to show them the roof this weekend, and am ready for a bit of a "heated debate" about the roof. I just wondered if anyone had any idea of cost when it comes to dents in a roof to give me an idea of how much cash is at stake here!
Cheers.
