  1. I'd like to add my name to the list if possible - post-2001 mats in black, please. Just let me know when payment is required...
  2. All sorted now... Don't know what I was worried about, now! Despite me not being able to prove that the dent in the roof was there when I picked the car up, it was rectified at the same time as the one on the rear wing. Top marks for this one, I'm well chuffed! :D
  3. On cleaning my (2nd hand) IS200 for the first time a couple of weeks back, I found that it had two dents alongside the aerial. They're quite shallow, but each cover an area of about 4 inches diameter. Only really noticable when the car is nice and clean, but noticeable nonetheless. Does anyone have any clue as to how much it would cost to have something like this repaired? I presume that it require the roof lining to be removed to do something like this. What really p*sses me off is that I just got this car about a month ago, and when I went to pick it up, and as I'm handing over the cash, the dealer says, "by the way, there's a very small dent the car has picked up since you were here earlier, don't worry - we'll have it fixed for you." This dent is on the top of one of the rear wings, just at the bottom corner of the rear screen. Of course I've now managed to convince myself that the dents on the roof were done at the same time, in between me agreeing to buy the car and going back to pick it up. However, the dealer will be more difficult to convince, I feel. I'm still waiting, a month on, to get the dent on the wing repaired. I'm going to take the car to show them the roof this weekend, and am ready for a bit of a "heated debate" about the roof. I just wondered if anyone had any idea of cost when it comes to dents in a roof to give me an idea of how much cash is at stake here! Cheers.
  4. Had my IS200 for one month now (2.5 years old, 30k miles), and the 1st to 2nd change, (and 2nd to 3rd) is also driving me mad. I returned to the dealer within a week of purchase to complain, and was told, of course, that "they all do that". I have since driven a brand new one (just to make myself feel worse) and, while the change felt bit tight going up into 2nd, it didn't feel like it was grinding at all, and certainly wasn't unpleasant/noisy like mine is. What I find most unnerving is the "slap" that I get when changing up into 3rd, that I have seen mentioned elsewhere here, that feels like something whacking the side of the gearlever, just as you enter the gate. I await news from other sufferers with keen interest! In all other respects, I love the car, but this problem makes me think I'll not be keeping it for that long...
