Am i correct in assuming there is no difference in the doors between the pre and facelift. Need to replace one of mine and found one from a facelift. Unless anyone knows of a drivers rear one preferably in black?

I have a 2012 gs250 and am looking at purchasing a second set of wheels to use for winter tyres. It currently has 18" wheels but don't mind running 17" wheels if I can't find anything in 18" Does anyone have any recommendations of what might suit the car - not looking for anything too flashy - close too oem would be good - but don't fancy paying Lexus prices for a new set of wheels If I do fit a different set of wheels - does anyone know what I need to purchase so that I can still use the tyre monitoring system Thanks

mentioned it to them but not a lot they can do now, was bought in to lexus birmingham from lexus leicester for us. When I buy a car I normally bring it to the garage and give it a proper once over beforehand, on this car with it being so new and coming as a dealership only car I stupidly didnt even open the bonnet until it came to servicing it. Will do another change in a few thousand miles so hopefully clear out anything left behind

The oli will be 'filthy' long before 8,000 miles. Ive been servicing cars for almost 20 years, I work alongside mechanics who are coming upto retirement age and they also agreed. I know what oil from a car that has been serviced less than 10,000 miles ago looks like. This hadnt been serviced in the last 8000 miles

we went in to buy a ct200h but it was too ugly - and ended up with the gs - managed to get a 12,000 mile 1 year old with mark levinson and the big screen for 27k - was an ex-demonstrator. I tend to run my cars until they start beconing unreliable - my own car , a celica mk7, I bought on 20,000 and it now has 220,000 - its nearing the end of its life but its just too reliable still other than burning a lot of oil.

Book said 0w30 so went for that - was a bit dissapointed to see that lexus leicester who stamped the book at 12,000 miles for a service just before we bought it, clearly hadnt changed the oil as the car now only has 20,000 8 months later and the oil was filthy as was the filter and was never 8000 miles - the car has not been driven hard as the wife uses it. I think the gs300h is still a 6 cylinder 2.5 petrol mated with an electric - I might swing in next weekend and get a test drive - the boot doesnt look as small as the 2012 gs430h. not sure I can justify the extra ill need to put in to upgrade it though. Parts availablility and resale is a bit of a worry now - but they dont tend to go wrong so fingers crossed, ill be ok for 10 years!

Simple one really - which grade is it for the GS250 - I think its the latter - can anyone confirm. Also gutted to learn that the GS250 has been dropped after only a few years - the boot space compared to the hybrids is what swung it for me - but the quoted mpg on the new gs300h looks impressive

Looking at getting a gs450h prob no more than 4 years and 50,000 miles. What should I look out for? any issues with batteries needing replacing - or what sort of age/ mileage do they need doing? Real life mpg? Do they do a gs with lane assist like in the ls? Cheers

Havent posted for a few years as my ls400 has given me years without problems, convinced 2 of my uncles to buy one aswell sonow have 3 in th family. One has had a smash along the one side and needs a rear quarter, and 2 doors, think I have found one, the guy says its an x-reg - but no sat nav - maybe an import? Not much is left on the car so I cant really tell if it is a mk3 or a mk4 - because no sat nav i think its a mk3 - and the reg isnt really x? Is there any difference in the rear quarter or doors bewteen a mk3 and a mk4?

My battery went flat, I replaced it with a new one, the engine turns over now, but the security light will not go out, it keeps flashing, checked on my mates and the light goes out as soon as the key goes in, mine doesnt do this anymore it just keeps flashing, anyone know how to reset this? Its a mk 4 LS400. Think I read something about leaving the key in the on position for 6 minutes and then trying, haven't tried this yet but will do. Thanks in advance.

well someone went into my cousins new bmw 3 series and wrote it off, insurance company couldnt do anything as the person had nothing to their name and the police just have the attitude that its a civil matter, its a joke but theirs nothing u can do about it excpet for make sure ur fully comp..

got hold of a set of mint sportpack 17" ls400 wheels, then realised after id taken all the wheels off that the wheel nuts are different for these wheels becuase of the shells for the original, anyone know where i can get a set? Many thanks

The battery has finally given up the ghost, a few different manufacturers list different batteries, What is the correct ampage and cranking power, some say 50/500 and others say 100/700. Will probably go with the 100/700 but had to put the smaller one on for now as couldnt source one over the bank holiday!!

wonder wheels is good if u have loads of brake dust on your wheels and havent looked after them for a while, but it shouldnt be used to regularly esp if soap will take the dirt off because it will take the lacquer off ur wheels. my advice try soap first and if it doesnt work, just use it where the dirt hasnt come off not all over the wheel

Where is the spare plug in betweeen the seats? I think you can attach an aerial to the connection in the right box in the boot, the connection is a phone aerial connection.

Im looking for a set for my mk4, 17s i think, the only thing Ive found are the original aftermarket ones. Want some that look good but are not sporty cos it aint a sport car.
