Guernsey car for sale ……very low miles 😮
    https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1549635

    Just look up importing ….

"If you are looking at buying a car or other vehicle from one of the Channel Islands, then don’t be put off because it will need to be declared to Customs, before you can register it with the DVLA.

The most important thing to note, is that you will have to pay VAT on the purchase price (the UK’s Standard rate of VAT is currently 20.0%)." 😳

  2. As rare as white is there has been 3 up for grabs.

CN57 NWO the U.K facelift has sold.

S999 TGV import facelift with red leather still for sale, this is the one that was cheaper a month ago and has been flipped by another dealer for a few grand more.☹️

J111 TYL white pre facelift has only been on Facebook…looks very clean and original …..Not that I’ve been watching any of them 😳😉

  3. The wheel Refurbished was all leading onto the next spend up …fitting a new pair of  Pirelli P Zero tyres.

Although didn’t go totally to plan….wanted to match the tread pattern and only wanted one tyre, ordered from Asda tyres and had it fitted at a local tyre depot.

To my disappointment the tread pattern has been updated, yet I still needed that tyre replaced, so went ahead with it .

So now has old and new tread patterns on the same axle ☹️, the old tread patterned tyre had a cut in the side wall …probably not an mot fail but wanted them to match and be safe so bought a second one.

This time chose a different supplier, so now have the matching pair I wanted…note to myself….why do new tyres feed so much smoother and quieter on the road ? 😉😉

Cheers Bob. Probably ok for the summer but worth changing them before winter.

If the tyres have good tread then keep them ….just use half throttle when drifting it out of roundabouts 😉😉

According to this yes as HID lights are fitted.

    https://mattersoftesting.blog.gov.uk/vosas-customer-service-centre-commonly-asked-questions/

It’s that old chestnut can’t fail  if not fitted, would need covers pulling off and blanked over with gaffer tape during mot test.

"Do HID headlamps require washers / self levellers?

Headlamp washing and levelling systems are a legal requirement for high intensity discharge (HID) lamps with a luminous intensity exceeding 2,000 lumens. But unless the luminous intensity is marked on the lamp, a tester won’t be able to tell if these systems are needed.

So, they can only be rejected if they are fitted and are inoperative or obviously defective. If they are missing and you believe they should be fitted, then pass and advise."

Was tempted by a spare wheel cover from Japan. £45. Tried to add it onto my order but the buggers wanted to charge shipping for cover as an individual item, not as part of original order.

Not sure it would fit over my spare anyway as it is 10mm wider than OEM.

Towel will have to do for now!

Gone off idea of taking it to Spain now, sadly.

    1. It would burn 4000 of my 5000 miles on insurance.

    2. Cannot take two folding bicycles.

    3. Will be no space for wine and souvenirs.

    4. Will cost £600 more in fuel, which affects number 3 above!

    Jazz it has to be.

May try for a smaller Euro trip later in the year.

Best take the motorhome then 👍🏻👍🏻

    Hey…just a thought …tow the SC430 behind the motorhome 🤔🤔

    Lexigirl went over to Beverley.

Not a cobble in sight on the driveway. 🤨

Couple of pics of the Minster and the main Square.

Poignant plaque on the side of the Minster as to the fate of two soldiers in the 17th century.

Anyway, just some shots for people who may not have visited Beverley ,but might wish to do so.
