Excellent info POD. I checked all the fuses and all are ok. how ever the boot won't open .i did try it lifted approx three inches and then closed. From reading the forum this one points to the tail gate struts. So my next course is to order some new struts unless somebody can guide me differently. Thank you for all the info so far. Regards

Hi yes i have it wont operate on any of the buttons inside the car, on the tail gate on on the fob no matter how long i hold it for. I cant find which of the fuses works the tailgate or whete they are.

hi i have a 2006 RX 350Se the boot wont open or close on any of the buttons. I have checked the button in the Glove compartment and this is in. I have obtained a different motor and put that on but still nothing. No sound from anything. Is there some where else i need to check. ? Is there s seperate fuse for the tail gate and where is it. . I cant see any referral to it in the owners hand book. Is there a relay? The boot opens manually ok with no issues but there are no sounds from any of the switches. Any help would be good. Thank you in advance.

Replaced the motor still not working. Checked the switch in the glove box still not working so struggling to find which way to go. Which fuse is used for the tailgate is it one on its own or does it share other lights switches etc. Nothing happening which ever switch I press. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Thank you for the info. I should have asked the auto technician to remove the unit for me as I would have been able to compare it against one I have seen on offer which came from a 400H same year as my 350se. I was hoping they would be the same. I just have to figure out how to remove the tailgate interior trim. Thanks for your help.

Hi all.i have a 2006 rx350 and the electric open and close on the tailgate has stopped working . I asked an auto electrician to have a look and have bee advised the unit has failed and needs replacing. Apart from main dealers can you advise where to have repaired or who else could supply. Hi I am just looking to part with my SC 430 mainly because I am just not getting time to drive it and it ends up in the garage covered up. I spoke to the dealer I purchased it from and he has offered £4750 it is a 2002 with 79,750 miles with full history and only approx 1000 miles since last service at Lexus including the timing belt change. Is this valuation enough or should I try for more. It is a trade sell as I am not buying anything from him I have a company car and I just bought a New XF for my wife. Yes I seen this mine is a 2002 model so waiting to hear from dealer. If I dont hear in a week or two I will contact them.

Hi I have a 2002 SC430 I would like to add rear parking sensors. I had a look behind the bumper not a lot of room and what looks like polystyrene. I have also been told the camera system is good as per the US members. 1. Can you advise the position to install on the rear bumber if sensors are used? 2. Do you know a reasonable priced installation service in South Yorks or North Lincolnshire area? 3. Do you know of a UK supplier that would allow a rear view camera that would switch over to the SAT Nav screen as per the US members I think its called NavTec.Is there a UK version and supplier. 4. Or do you just go with one of the aftermarket type cameras and an extra monitor in the car? I have fitted sensors to at least three other cars but this one looks like it is packed out behind the bumper look forward to hearing from you. Love the car which is only used at the week end.
