i would say 60mm is as low as you would want to go, ideally same size tyres all round if u do lower it ( 215 35 18 ). also check the rolling circumference of the tyre as having the wrong size will throw the speedo out. i only have 215's on mine as 235's would rub the rolled arches.... Sue

my 19" wheels are 40 offset, 8j. my tyre size is 215 35 19. am sure 18" wheels will go straight on but as i said before my arches were rolled to make the 19's fit as it is lowered as well.

forgot to add that my car was also lowered by 60mm

hi, i've had 19 inch wheels fitted to my is200, but the rear arches had to be rolled. Will check tomorrow what the offset is.
