the large one is the amazon, usually has the 4.2 diesel in it .they do 4.2 petrol as well, they are large vehicles to have in this country, tho they will pull anything,i' driven most of the older landcruisers, here and in australia, always ultra reliable.the most popular one here is the colorado landcruiser,a bit smaller,i don't know much about them after year 2000,like everything else they are laden with electronics.in oz you can buy the simple basic ones, cos they don't want electonic failures, out in bush ,the land rovers flopped there cos of unreliability, here it is inconvenient if you break down ,there its a matter of life and death.in oz alot of the luxury landcruisers are lexus badged
i think they are the best proper 4x4

at the supermarket i go to ,there's a part of the carpark no,one parks in much cos people want to park inside really or to idle to walk far,i always park there i leave it on its own,but invariably when i get back someone has parked right next to me in spite of there being 50 or so spaces all around, the car must be a magnet to others

i've used ad block for some time and it really works well.my 15yr old son installed it for me sometime ago, when he cleaned my computer out.Im 65 and can do most things, but he seems in a different league ,one of the advantages of having a 15yr old in the house, not too many others though

the cambelt interval on mine on was originally due for change at 62000 miles or 10yrs,in the handbook, which is what i have kept to,as phil had flsh up to 75k its prob been done once, and wont need doing until its done 125/130k,i know they seem to have adjusted the interval has times gone on ,but originally it was 62k

hi,sidelight replacement relatively easy front or back, may have to take a few bits off
im sure the seats have to have someone sat on them, sometimes they do take a while to get going
dhp is matter of taste, its only bigger wheels stiffer suspension, some people like the original better for comfort/road noise
don't think they fitted with runflats at the factory
pretty common to see surface rust on the ring on top shocker it usually rubs off,i saw it often when i was looking, dont know about bulkhead rust, thou if it surface should be ok they not known to rust, the thing is with these cars whilst alot are owned by enthusiasts, some are bought as a cheap runabout cos they reliable, and soon as a big bill comes up they scrap them,in the real world they not worth much more than £1500,its easy to spend that on it if suspension worm
don,t know about badges, would'nt of thought too difficult
cc i don't know prob not used much
i think the management light is the square one with red circle,if they all go out after starting, everthing ok

does it go thro the gears manually if you start in ist, when you get to 4 you have to push the lever to
the left to get the overdrive if you start in park and put it in d it does it automatically, but does'nt in the manual,im sure you know this, but if you
try the above you can check the gears, prob computer won't let you go into 2nd
but if you use the manual you may not be pushing lever across in drive
