  1. Totally 'not nice' for that money. Even a Lexus approved/warrantied 2006/7 with 30K miles would only be £14/16,000. Mileage quite that low might concern some. Later wheels are nice but what is it you are tempted by... the colour?
  2. Lovely looking car Paul. 'Indigo Ink Pearl 8P4'. That cabin is beautifully insulated from the noises, smells etc of the mechanical world, but this is the time of year and weather for problems to show. Bit of elbow grease in spring will clear up your headlight covers. They're a joy to drive. Hope you have many happy miles.
  3. Didn't mean to make it sound like that !! Is that how it came across. ??? Just joshing Peter, you had signed off as 'ma'. The audio input on this thread is fascinating though as I'm 'electrics and connections' stupid.
  4. No its meant to be as rigid as that... If you buy a plane made to fly you expect it too fly.. If you buy a car built to be quiet you expect it to make no noise.. Its my sense of humour... ma -------------------------------------------------- Thank you mom, I'll stand in the corner till I grow up.
  5. Oh dear some ones bought the wrong car !!! Its not meant to 'sound'..... at all.. Dear Alphacat, you're right, as manufactured it was intended to feature a 'quiet' engine note, but I hope the world is not meant to be as rigid as all that. Flatter me if you like but I'm no boy racer although I've had a few screaming masers in my time, I've just enjoyed 4 years in a sublimely quiet, very original V8 Soarer. My SC430 came with the powerflow exhaust and also with fuel 6 alloys, which I prefer to the original dinner plates. Why be so patronising to a fellow enthusiast?
  6. Well done. These cars can be amazingly well preserved. Yours sounds enviously young. I only bought mine recently and it came already fitted with a powerflow s/s exhaust. Ticking over and cruising it sounds not much more than the stock setup but when the pedal's down sounds awesome. Really worthwhile.
