Still no-one?
-
Spotted this today - anyone ever attempted anything like this? How do you take the seat backs off??
-
I'd be happy with the cambelt situation, it's done next to no milleage, manufacturers are over cautious when it comes to recommending changes to such things. I'm surprised it's even been done. It looks lovely but as has been pointed out, it's still an old thirsty car and that puts a limit on it's worth in this day and age unfortunately.

Thanks for your help everyone!
-
Thanks - might be worth considering a breakers yard then.
-
No, that was on LPG - would it have come down on petrol though?
-
sadly there is no way round this fix unless you want to buy aftermarket heat filaments and have the seat re-upholstered
No I do not! lol
If you cannot feel any heat within this time they will be failed. As Mark said it is normally the heater elements and replacement is quite a job.
Bugger!
Ah well never mind - the rears work fine!
Are Mk4 seats the same - can they be fitted to a Mk3?
-
No warning lights, had been used a little in the morning but not a long drive. Car hasn't been used much lately as it is.
Oil was done not that long ago but not sure about the air filter - is there a guide on how to change the air filter btw? It's something I like to do.
It was the CO emissions. Reading was 2.8, a fail for petrol but easy pass with LPG.
-
Took my Mk3 for an MOT today - it passed but the emissions were high. It was tested on LPG, thankfully, so got through.
My question is how do you reduce the emissions given out by your car?

I can't tell if my front heated seats are slow to warm up and weak or if they don't work at all. I think I've checked the fuse (under the bonnet) which appeared in order. Is there another way of checking and if they aren't working what are the possibilities of repair?

Funny enough I bought mine from Sheffield but I'm Baildon - north of Shipley/Bradford

Welcome along Steve, from another Yorkshire Lexus owner, I've just joined the gang and I already love my old 400!
-
Cheers Shaz but specifically after a beige one - I have three in great condition - just missing the drivers one. Such a shame.
Thanks again! :)

Continue to give it tender love and care. Take it on a nice long journey and open it up a bit. Should be in lovely nick at that mileage.
-
Really - no one has a spare, or an old one lying around? If you do just say how much!
-
Thanks Steve. Do you know what bulbs go in the lights in the footwells?
-
Not sure about the 460(?) alloys - a bit modern for an older car imho - do like the indicators though. Where can they be bought and for how much?
-
If I were to buy LED stop/tail or sidelights would I get a bulb fault warning? Do I need canbus compatible ones?
-
Steve - you are fast becoming invaluable! Thanks!
I'll check the handbook too! Cheers!

Given that I have to have a spare at least for my trip into Europe I thought I might upgrade at least the headlights to Phillips x-treme's. But what I need to know is what bulbs the LS takes?
If anyone has a definative list on the types of bulbs the car has all over that would be amazing but every little helps!

Cheers all of the above! Thought it was a long shot as haven't seen one and as a posh car thought it might be on c d or the like! Great cars love mine 210,000 m reg on lpg with m o t all for £475. not had a single problem so far in the 3 months i have owned it! i could quite happily live with this car forever!
£475 - amazing value! Just what we were after for our journey to Prague this year - ended up shelling out a grand!
-
Hmm - sounds like this is turning into a farce of a job! Might just stick with what I have and enjoy! B)
-
I had a look today - I have a round hole that says "diagnostics" on it - Obviously not OBDII
-
Thanks
Gave the car a wash yesterday including a good flush of the brake calipers with the power washer, also gave the Battery a charge. One or both of those factors has sorted the problem it would seem!

Mine has cut out after long runs too. Is this the same problem?
