i still dont understand if the AT is200 is a drive-by-wire system,but im thinking how to make the throttle feel like 1:1 like ordinary cars... -
the IS200 1GFE is a drive-by-wire system right?so if it is,this pivot aparatus could be installed right?

nope,there's no leak,i recently changed all the seals in the engine (nov 2011)... i forgot to mention something...everytime i drive the car upto 5000RPM or so,the smoke from the muffler smells like burning oil,but if i drive it normal mode (in econo mode) the smell is sweet (smells like the catalytic)....could this be the piston rings?

i had the car for a year now,the engine has 60,000kms,no white or black smoke (only white smoke on cold start),idles perfect,no CEL,runs smooth,the oil im using is royal purple 5W30...sometimes it takes 3-5mos before the yellow oil light would come up while im driving....

my car has a 1gfe...stock... i guess its eating oil due to old age,so if i switch to a little thicker viscosity like 10W40,will this help reduce the oil consumption? TIA

Ok, So as long as my crank timing is at 0* and my cam timing is at TDC using the " l " timing mark...its good to go?

i recently replaced my timing belt,upon installing,the service manual says to line up the timing mark " o " with the engine mark...when i follow the " o " my cams are not TDC,but when i align the " l " mark....my cams are TDC,im really confused about this.....any help guys?

ok thanks,ill try and open the ECU maybe the pins have the names just like the ones from the MR2. i will get mine dyno tuned after installing,ill let you know what happens after. my IS200 99' euro spec (heater for the seats and headlight washers and rear fogs),what specs is you IS?

there's 2 marks on the cam pulley (1gfe) ,there's a "line" and there's a "dot".....my cam is at TDC if i follow the "line"...... is this possible? my crank pulley doesnt have the TDC mark so i dont know if i should follow the line or the dot

my plans are just install an open type air filter and de-cat the exhaust just to lessen the load a little bit for the engine

when i put the key into ignition,the green "TRC OFF" light comes on then goes away when you start the car..... if i push the TRC OFF button,nothing is happening,it seems like i cant turn it off,i tested the switch and it works,i checked the fuse box in the engine bay near the exhaust manifold,the driver and passenger side fuses but i cant find the fuse for this switch... anyone know where i should check?what i should do? so i could get this switch working? Thanks

i'd like to say hi to all,i just joined LOC, if i removed the 2 catalytic on my is200,will i get a check engine light?...if so,what can i do to prevent the CEL? thanks in advance
