  1. Thanks for that Collin. What are the usual Gs common problems to out for? I'm sorry for these questions, but I've always been an ls driver, so it will be my first Gs or aristo. I think its a UK model, as everything is in English, satnav etc
  2. Hi guys I'm an ls430 owner, love the car, but I needed something with a bit more power. Just wondered if you guys knew any common problems on the aristo, what should I look out for?
  3. Hi guys I'm having abit of a down day today. My wife is expecting our 3rd child soon, and I'm going to need an estate, and therefore might have to sell my ls430. I don't really want to sell it, I really don't, I know it will last me a long time, longer than a German or French or British car would. But I may have to get a German car anyway.
  4. Hi sir john That's exactly how I felt. I was so happy when I got my ls back. I even told the bodyshop worker at lexus that is220 is probably the worst lexus made. Like you, I was happy with the air con, but that's about it. It was so noisy, and I could feel every single bump. It was a 60 plate, my ls is only a 2001.
  5. Hi guys My ls430 has gone into lexus to have the rear bumper repaired due to someone going into the back of my car when I was stationary. Anyway, the dealers have given me an is220d as a courtesy car, but I have to say its probably the worst lexus I have ever driven. It's that bad that it makes the is200 feel good. The drive on it isnt very good, its to noisy and I can feel every single bump
  6. Mate, the ls430 is a good car. When I was buying it from the previous owner, he said to me the only reason he's selling it, is to buy another ls400 again. So I thought, why would he want to go back to an ls400, I've been driving this ls430 since February, and its not the same as the ls400. The ls400 is I think a better and smoother ride
  7. Hi Steve I am British and live in Birmingham . The name Lamela is from one of my favourite Argentine players. Anyway, did you have lexus dealer look at your vehicle, or was it an accident management company? I was hit in the rear, the gentleman who hit me in the rear admitted it, well he had to as I was stationary aswell, if I take it to lexus, will they just deal with the claim?
  8. Thanks for the reply The other guy is insured thank god. But tell tale signs are there if the engine mounts have been damaged? I'll tell you something guys, the bumpers on the ls430 are strong.
  9. Hi guys Today I was in stationary in traffic, when third party hit me in the rear, he wasn't even travelling really fast, must have been around 8 mph, but it really shunted me, I was in complete shock, but when I got out to look to see if there was any damage, there wasn't none. Absolute no visible damage, but do you guys think.there might be some internal damage?
  10. Hi mate I had an is200, and had the exact same fault as yours. After a month or so, the trc etc light started flashing again, so this time I took it into lexus dealers. They put a computer onto it, and there were no faults stored, but I didn't know this before I bought the car, but the technician there told me a lot of is200 have a fault on the ecu, and the problem with mine was the ecu. So when the light eventually stopped, I sold the car. But just wanted to let you know, that it could be a fault with the ecu, if it did start flashing again. And a new ecu is not cheap. If you get a secondhand one, you'd have to buy all the locks aswell, I couldn't afford all that, plus you don't know how long a secondhand one will last.
  11. Hahaha I like the ls460, but its out of my price range. Plus the misses isn't included in the deal.
  12. Hahahaha good one mate. So now I've gotta look for a darker coloured 2001 ls430 to swap with, if I can't convince her mine is a good colour. Women.
  13. The 220d is probably be expensive for me to purchase or px with. I don't know what's wrong with my misses, yes funny creatures they are.
  14. Hi guys My misses is doing my head in, all because she doesn't like the colour of my ls430. It's platinum ice. I love it, but she insists I get a darker colour. So anyone interested in a swap maybe? I'm gonna try an convince her mine is nice colour.
  15. The ls400 will outlast an audi a8, BMW and merc s class. You can't mess with an ls400. It was the best car i have ever owned. My ls430 is good, but ls400 was better.
  16. Anyone want to px ls400 with my ls430 :) That's how much I miss it. A real lexus is the ls400.
  17. Moriwaki I agree with everything you said. I keep thinking shall I sell it and buy an ls400 again? But like you, I don't want to give up that easy. I agree with you on the tyre noise, my ls430 is exactly the same. The ls400 was much quieter on the roads, I couldn't feel or hear any bumps etc.
  18. I have to agree with you ambermarine. I miss my ls400, I also miss my audi s4, but I wouldn't go back to audi again, especially as their cars ain't really reliable. Lexus and Japanese cars a very reliable. Don't get me wrong guys, I do like my ls430, but I the ls400 in many ways I think was better. I miss my ls400.
  19. Hi mate I probably miss it because I think it was a lot smoother than the ls430. I think that my be the reason, plus it felt more comfortable than the ls430.
  20. Hi guys. I have an ls430. I've had it since February, now with the new bearing its very quiet and smooth. But, i miss my old ls400, I don't know why, maybe because it was a better drive, I don't know. Am I the only one who feels like this, or are there any other owners of an ls430 who also miss their old ls400?
  21. Thank you for that, ill just mail him, and see what he says.
