Hi Since I bought my ls430 beginning of February, everytime I accelerate to around 25mph, there is a noise that I keep hearing, like a humming sound. I've had it checked by lexus, and they said the bearing and hub are fine, and it could be tyres. Anyone have a clue? They said its normal, the sound doesn't get louder as I accelerate, it stays at one pitch

Hi everyone My car is due an mot test soon, but I wanted to ask a question and I hope you guys can help. When they do an emission test, do they have to rev the engine abit high? I get kinda scared thinking it might ruin my engine them reving it high just to check the emissions.

It's okay now, it was the idle pulley, so I had that changed with the drive belt aswell, and its bang on now

I work for a big insurer and ill tell you guys why insurance is high, its because you guys go through the go compare or meerkat websites. There are middlemen on there who make a lot of money for themselves that's why its expensive, however if you call the insurer direct without telling the quote you had online, your insurance will come down, sometimes more than 50%. So give it a try.

Well the fuel light was on obviously meaning put some fuel in, but to be honest even when I had the ls400, using shell v power, I was getting 22-23mpg around town, but what I know from main dealers is that the gs models do drink more fuel and mpg isn't very good on them because of the way they are made, something to do with aerodynamics, while the ls models are better. But then again I don't have a heavy foot either.

Its a 2001 ls430, on a run I get 45-48 mpg, I put in £20 v power in it couple of weeks ago, it got me back from bolton to Birmingham, and I still had 57miles left in the tank when I got back to Birmingham. It's amazing.

Hi everyone I've had my ls430 now for around 3 weeks, I'm getting 27mpg that's local driving which is very good for a 4.3 litre, but that's using v power fuel at shell, I just wanted to ask, is everyone getting the mpg as I am? Is it normal? I went Lexus dealers, they were that the ls430 engine is lighter that ls400, but in general the ls models drink less than the gs models.

Hi I bought my ls430 last weekend, and everything is fine, but I do hear this noise like something spinning on the rhs of the engine, it comes and goes, I only hear it when I'm outside the car, its done 143000 miles and the belts were changed at 100,000 miles. Is the slight noise normal? I never use a/c, that's always switched off.

Thanks, ill give it a go tomorrow, how would I clean the debris under the wipers arms? Would I have to take something under the wipers arm out first?

Your probably right, I was driving through a lot of snow on the motorway yesterday from Bolton to Birmingham. How would I look for the dirt, where do I start? It's only been happening since driving through the blizzard yesterday. Thank you for your help.

Hi, I'm new to this. This ls430 is my third Lexus, and I love it. But sometimes there is a strange buzzing sound behind the dash when I park up. When I put the rear windscreen or front windscreen heater on, the sound goes away. When I'm driving there is no buzzing sound either, its just sometimes when I park up. Any ideas what it could be?
