  1. Problem solved. It was bad contact in ogirinal amplifier, which meant cutting the sound after overheating.
  2. I cut out the speaker and found something I thought was wrong. Moisture was penetrating the edge of the speaker so that the drug was "rotten". I switched tweeters and speakers and I are still left with the same problem. The sound suddenly stops work on the right side. Considering to burn the whole car :) Btw, 5,25" woofers DO NOT FIT!
  3. CHEESECAKE. Was not easy to measure the speaker at all. Measured it to 14,5-15 cm. Where the speaker i thought would fit are 13 cm/ 5,25" Or 16cm / 6,5" . So i guess the only thing to do here is order some 5,25" and make it fit i guess.
  4. 17 cm seems alot.... *sigh* Just changed the tweeters, guess that means i'm going to spend my chrstmas holiday spirit out on the garage today :) I'll keep you updated with the results.
  5. Need help here, i'm in a hurry aswell. These frontspeakers on my lexus is200 are original, and i want these replaced becouse these are troubling me some bit. They are making the whole sound on the right side disapear. Question is: How large are these speakers? I want my new set to fit in the original mount. My guess is 13cm / 5,25" I need this confirmed as soon as possible, please.
  6. Now when im driving, sometimes (almost all the time actually) all the sound on the right side disapears. Tweeters and the woofer both stops working, and the tweeter are making very annoying "nicnincnicnicnncinc" sound constant. I have no idea.
  7. Ok, Listen up. Bought a new set of speakers. These speakers played awesome, to the next day -.- It's the same speaker as last time, the one on the right side. The speakers actually works BUT it deliver some "peak sounds" every 0,2 sec. Like " Tik tik tik tik tik tik..." Heeeelp :P
  8. Speakers have not been changed. These are soldered, so there is also no bad connection.
  9. I dont want to buy them used from Ebay.. Well, i bought some new tweeters (50W rms), these turned out to be gigantic >.< Are there some place to buy these cute little speakers brand new?
  10. Question.. My Tweeters are broken (suprise, it's a Is200). Anyone know where i can get new ones or an replacement? If someone know the "number" on the speakers it would be easier to track them :) - Thanks.
  11. But it looks 100 times better than the original one..
  12. Please link remove the roof linings guide :) And i would really like to know if someone have found a shark fin that actually fits perfect!
  13. Anyone have any experience regarding to remove the antenna? Thought to replace that of BMW's "Sharkfin" :)
  14. Case closed. 10mm wires and a fuse 20cm from the battery. 12" woofer in the back. It's not good looking, but who's going to look in the back anyways. Only the gasoline "door" is vibrating, fix this and every things great.
  15. the key here is the Ski hatch. Anyone knows a sub-woofer/kicker that is 26cm (height) 20cm (wide) And the actually woofer have too be standing 8cm over the floor in the rear too reduce the reflected sounds. ---- Or, a good and cheap site for woofers? :)
  16. Oh well! That's orignial! cool. But yeah, i was wondering if i could get a 10/12" kicker sub-woofer too fit between the ski hatch.. But yeah. i would still have to secure the woofer somehow. Dont you think it's easier to buy some new speakers too the rear end?
  17. Hi there. i Just joined the club and thought it would be easier to just start a new topic instead of looking true 100 pages of topics to find the right one Im looking for suggestions and help/tricks too improve the sound in the car. Car: Lexus is 200 1999. I've been thinking about thowing a sub-woofer in the back of the car, but... Correct me if im wrong, but: This will couse alot of "damage" too the car, becouse of all the adjusments.. So i was thinking about changing the rear 6x9 in the car, and in the front aswell? I've looked at the speakers in the back, their only 25W on 2ohm. These little things gives a amazing sound quality, but i want better. So the question is this. Which speakers do YOU reccomend? And do i need to change those in front aswell? Thanks for answears! (sorry for the bad writing! )
