Sorted! For future reference to any other owners with this problem carry out a soft or a hard reset on the iphone and this will solve it.

Recently, in the last week the SEEK/TRACK button has decided to stop working when my iphone is plugged in. The button itself works fine when the headunit is in radio or cd changer modes just not in the GROM mode. The numbers cycle up on the display but the track doesnt change. What do you reckon? Time for a new unit?

Had a little look underneath after work and found the 2 mounting points closest to the centre of the car had rusted out around the nuts of the back box heat shield. Couple of washers later I should hopefully be rattle free. Then it's just the 30mph whistle to sort from the front wheels.

Doesnt sound like its under the bonnet or behind the dash. With a window open its very noticeable which leads me to think mid exhaust/ backbox.

Over the last couple of days my 03 sport has developed a strange metallic rattle. It only happens when the car has warmed up and is under load I.e travelling up hill. I'm thinking a heat shield of some kind but revving the car at a standstill and shaking the exhaust, didn't produce the fault again. Any ideas?

How can I get rid of the gallery/news banner that pops up as it just lingers in the middle of the screen and is slow to move on my ipad.

Ive just installed a grom in my IS and all works perfectly, The query I have is in regards to the track time function. In 'simple' mode it states in the manual that the track time will simply read 0.00, that's fine. In 'advanced' mode it says it should display the track time, but mine still reads 0.00. Picky I know and unnecessary but just wondered if anyone else has this with there's? It's a V2 pre- Bluetooth model if that makes any difference.

You won't need wheel alignment done unless you have uneven wear on your current tyres. Wheel balancing should cost no more that £30-40 really as it doesn't take long to do.

No buddy, the wheels don't need to be on the car. It's done on a machine calibrated for the specific offset and width of each wheel and balances them that way. The tyre fitter/mechanic will then fit the weights accordingly.

Ive recently bought a maxi cosi easyfix base and cabriofix seat combo for my 03 IS. It fits fine but the problem I have is when pushed back against the seat, the base really pushes into the leather quite badly on the inside fixing near the arm rest. Anyone know how I can limit the damage?
