I put a cheeky bid of £995 during lunch at the office (must have been really bored) and the guy accepted it. He said he was from the owners club also. Wouldnt usually bid without seeing the car. Couple of issues with the car when I got it back.
1) The radiator cap had a crack on the seal to system did not pressurise and water boiled off (leading to overheating).. had to fit new cap and car took over 8L of water!
2) Little oil in vehicle so had to purchase
3) Little / no service history, was told there was some
4) The red ECT warning comes on when overdrive is turned on and overdrive light flashes. Seems to be no issue with the gearbox or o/d, done a bit of google research and may just be electrical issue.
All things aside the car is ok for what I paid, it was only an impulse buy to see what the V8 was like and I'm not planning on keeping her for too long, may move her on in a few months.
Love the smoothness of the ride in the soarer and the power delivery from the V8 is excellent! Not to mention the interior is such a nice place to be in. I just need to find a UK head unit as I'm not fluent in Japanese!
