  1. Yes, it alo had a little tube of copper grease.
  2. Denso lambda sensor fitted, fault code errased and no light yet.
  3. There should be a sensor bolted to the rad which turns the fan on and off. On most cars u can bridge the wires in the plug to test it.
  4. Yes that is a good point about the cable. I have ordered one from my local motor factors, £65.00
  5. Thanks guys, I've already ordered one so that was a bit of luck as my suppliers say the two precat ones have different part numbers.
  6. Which one, pre-cat front, pre-cat rear or after cat lambda sensor.
  7. I have never heard of the eml coming on for the clutch so a code reader needed. The rattleing noise could be the release bearing collapsing.
  8. Yeah I will do lambda sensor first, I don't think it will make much differences as when I have cleared code it don't make any difference.
  9. Cheers m8, mine takes a bit longer than a few seconds, I can drive diwn the shop and back and it will then drop to 1250ish, sounds like a throtle body clean then .
  10. Yeah warm tick over is OK its the cold tick I'm not sure about.
  11. OK, sorry o be starting so many threads but I do have a few questions. Is when warm the engine ticks over at a nice 800-900 rpm but when cold it revs up to nearly 2000rpm. Is this correct or can it be adjusted, the car does need a new lambda sensor mind.
  12. For that money they can keep the clocks.
  13. Good point, is the is200 and is300 the same cars bar the engine.
  14. I will plug it in when I get to work tomorrow
  15. Cheers, saves me trying to fix the reverse sensors I havnt got. If the final drive was changed surely the gear range wouldn't change so it would all still work the same, rev range etc. Just a lot of cars the final drive is easily changeable and I think it would make it a better car.
  16. thats out of the window then!! quick one for u as u seem to know what ur on about, why does it beep when you put it in reverse, is it a warning or a parking sensor, if its a parking sensor I dont think it works.
  17. rear facing baby car seat, some cars have the function to turn it off, e.g peugeots have a key switch to turn it off. its nice to be able to see ur baby when your driving. plus the car seat only just fits in the back with the front seat right forward so its awkward.
  18. Hi every one, I'm sure this has been covered loads of times but i am new to the forum and cant find what I'm looking for. Basically I like the is200 but I find its very low ratio, over 3k doing 70mph, with a 6 speed box I was expecting the revs to be lower. I also find myself changing gear constanty as soon as I pull off, I'm in 5th before I know it. So can I change the final drive, is there another model with a higher final drive that I could use or is it the diff I need to change.
  19. ok bought and plugged in code reader and its the front lamdba sensor. po135 i think, malfunction. the wires seem ok and ive cleared the code just wait to see if it comes back on. still not found any thing about the passenger air bag.
  20. Hi everyone, I've had a look and the only thing I have found on passenger air bag is that u can't turn them off, does any one know any different.
