  1. Thanks. I knew it was something simple. You'd think the service centre would have reset it when they changed the battery!!!! I suppose I have to do my sunroof as well. They never even updated the service data on the MMI
  2. IS 250 SE-L mm I have just noticed that even though all my windows work, I cannot open any of the other windows from the driver side panel. They are not locked although I did notice the other night that the green light on the buttons was flashing slowly, but I can't remember if that was only when I activated the window lock. The window lock seems to work because when you turn it on or off the lights on the switches (on the driver panel) will go on or off accordingly.
  3. I've got the plan and have just had a major service done. It is a full service to all intents and purposes, including a fluid change etc, there are a few differences in stuff they check so essentially they do less without compromising the service. The only other thing is that you get an essential care card that is stamped rather than your service book. So I think if you want to keep the service history as Lexus, where you would have gone to a local garage instead, it's worth it. Especially if the vehicle is over 5 years old. You don't have to have bought the vehicle from Lexus. Alternatively you can speak to your dealer and have a 'normal' service plan paid monthly. (but with an older vehicle I think the essential care is adequate)
  4. Of course you can acquire this. Same way I did. -Put hand in pocket, pull out readies. Acquire!
  5. I would keep it but I have a 5 series which the wife needs for taxi duties and she has the biggest pushchair you have ever seen!!!
  6. Hi all, I have just acquired an IS250 from a relative, it's a late 2006 SEL, silver, with all the options, multimedia, radar cruise, roof, camera e.t.c This car has hardly been used and has only 17,000 miles on it. Now, I am a die hard BMW man, but after driving it for a week I must say I am suitably impressed. The only thing I don't like is the thin steering wheel!!!! I like the way it rides and it can hustle if you want it to, but when I am coming from work and I am tired, I enjoy the silence and the silky smoothness. So well done Lexus, If I were in the market for another car I would certainly choose the lexus over the BMW. Now comes the hard part. I already have a car, so she who calls the shots won't let me keep it!! I have been looking in the classifieds and there aren't very many SEL about with low mileage and those that are tend to be in main dealers for about 13k or more. What sort of price would I be looking to sell this car at as I need to sell it soon. I would rather it went to someone who wants one than sell it back to the dealers although I won't let it go for a ridiculous price.
