Hi All, Does anyone know of a good Lexus Indy in the East Dorset or west Hants area? We have a main dealer here in Poole but I was wondering if there was an alternative (read slightly cheaper). I would be looking for someone to service an LS400 mk4 if my plans come to fruition. Thanks in advance!

Hello everybody, I have been a member for a couple of years, viewing but not actually posting as I don't own a Lexus so have little to contribute at this stage! I have a yearning to own an LS, either a mk4 LS400 or an early 430. It would be my toy as opposed to having the burden of being the family workhorse, which would continue to be our CMax TDCi. My current toy is a 9-5 Aero saloon. Insurance, tax and poor mpg are not a concern. My old Accord coupe V6 was hideously thirsty so I don't envisage an LS would be hugely worse. Running costs are a consideration. I realise no LS is going to be cheap to maintain properly. My head and heart both prefer a mk4 LS400 to an LS430. The prospect of the air suspension on the LS430 worries me (perhaps needlessly?) That said it is a newer design and I do feel I should own a car with 15 buttons and a digital screen in the rear centre armrest at least once in my life! So imagine this scenario..If presented with a late LS400 and an early LS430 in similar condition, history etc and relatively close price tags which one would you choose and why? Thanks!

Hello All, I just wanted to say Hi. Whilst not an owner yet I am very LS400 curious. I would love a Mk4 (ideally) or Mk3 LS400 as my pride and joy but the prospect slightly scares me, so I thought I better join the owners forum to learn more. I live in Poole, Dorset and currently enjoy a 1999 T-Reg Honda Accord Coupe 3.0V6 as my car. This is a superb car, which I have had for a year of troublefree motoring and is solely responsible for getting me into thinking about LS400s! I do about 4k miles a year so fuel costs ar not an issue. Tax, insurance and fuel costs for an LS400 would be similar to above so not an issue, nor is actually buying it. Servicing, repairs and tyres (are they an unusual and therefore expensive size?) are the fear factor for me a the moment. Is there an independent in the Poole/Bournemouth area? BTW - We have a C-Max diesel for the family car, so Lexus would be just my treat/toy. BTW2 - for any of you in the Hampshire/Dorset area looking for a MkIV there is a (ridiculously cheap) one being advertised on preLoved.
