Filled up this morning, noticed the engine and TRC lights on two hours later, checked manual and it advised a visit to a Lexus garage for checking. I had visions of £££££££££ disappearing from my wallet. Read advice in this page and tightened the filler cap. Ergo my wallet made a huge sigh of relief. Thanks to you all.

The "How to increase your MPG " notice deals with the subject in a clear manner; but as I see it; the common sense answer should be the AVG should reflect the life average and the Tavg the current average. However, I fear we are not looking at the problem through Japanese eyes. Ah well, any more ideas?
