Lexusdirectparts quote for parts and installation is £2K and I think that's ex vat. I'll be looking at options as I do want to keep the car, it really is good. I have an SL60, a GES300 and an RX300 as well so I'm not having to walk!!

Half way down the exhaust system of my 2001 GS430 I have a completely corroded pipe. Looking at it on the ramp it the mid section could theoretically be replaced, but the bolts onto the first set of cats are very very badly corroded and it's doubtful if they could be removed in such a manner as to allow attachment of the new pipes. Similar problems at he other end. It seems to me that from a labour point of view it would be cheaper to replace the whole pipe and all three cats. Question is, are how much would parts cost. Are there acceptable pattern parts? Would a system be available at a scrappers? Is the system particular to the 430 or is it used in other vehicles. All information greatly received. It's a beautiful car and I really don't want to scrap it, but at the moment it's looking like the costs will be way more than the value of the car.

I guess the torrent of replies nobody knows the answer to the motorola question. Didn't realise the did them that late, I know that's what the old mk1's had as an option. If your 430 isn't a satnav version, you should be able to connect in a parrot bluetooth kit fairly easily with the relevent SOT lead. The satnav bits add additional headaches due to the satnav gubbins in the boot being responsible for fading the stereo audio for the directions.
No idea on the RX, but a parrot with the SOT lead should also be an option. SCOSCHE do some kids for later cars, not sure what years though and also look at USASPEC kits.
Thanks, I've tracked down a V60 and put a GiffGaff sim in it. Not the best solution, but a solution. I suspect you're right and that Parrot will be the route to go. I guess I just wondered if there were any Lexus specific solutions. Thanks again.

I was so overwhelmed with the responses to my question that I thought I'd ask another :winky:
Does anyone know if there's a good aftermarket solution to Bluetooth a 2004 Rx300 ?
I await the Tsunami of replies.
Many thanks

I've just bought a GS430 2000 MY01 which has a Motorola Cradle wired up in the centre arm rest. In one of my Mercs I have a Nokia cradle into which I've placed a ViseeO to make it Bluetooth. The cradle looks small, maybe for an old flip phone. Does anyone know if there'e an easy Bluetooth route?
Many thanks.

@ scudney. For some reason your post didn't show yesterday (or I missed it!). Have you any direct knowledge of LL N'tpton? I ask as I my understanding is that this is a franchise operation and I've heard that results can be variable. Some outlets get rave reviews, and some, shall we say, don't!
