Hi. I had the oil Maint Reqd warning light ping up yesterday quickly followed by the check vsc warning. Is the check vsc attributed to the oil Maint warning? An oil and filter change is booked for tomorrow but could there be any underlying issue as the check vsc warning is now on? Car has not gone into limp mode and is a 2008 is220d with 120700 miles on clock

Hi. I experienced today in my 2008 is220d the power cutting out at 3000 rpm suddenly. I changed gear and again when revs climbed to around 3k the power cut out. This is the first time this has happened. I have had almost annual issues with the EGR valve which was last replaced by Lexus last November. This issue appears to be new. The power in third gear almost dies when the revs build up then kicked back in suddenly. Does anyone have some advise which may help? I'm going to be calling Lexus in the morning to try and get this resolved ASAP butt bought I'd try here first. Thanks

When I start my car it struggles to fire up. On some occasions even when warm it can fail all together and require a second attempt. My car is an IS 220d (November 2008) 58 plate with 86k on the clock. Battery went flat back in May and was charged up by the AA. Does it have anything to do with this? Is it now finally beginning to fail and require a new one? When started from cold in the dark you can see the lights dip all together so perhaps it is? Suggestions please :-)
