Well my mechanic just suggested ADL discs and pads, but I have never heard of those, so I'm stuck really
The place on eBay recommended for the Brembos is out of stock too
-
Oh ouch 😭
-
Don't think they did too well. Didn't stop him going into a tree anyway :)
How are these going now they are bedded in? As I really really need to purchase some discs and pads in the next week!Pagid stoppers are now on. Obviously got to take it easy for the first few hundred, but it's already stopping well. I took it on a trip up to Oulton Park yesterday, as I was going to the Toyota GT86 track day, so first hundred completed without fuss.
I notice the rear pads haven't got the audible wear indicators like the originals, no issue really as you don't want to be running them that low to hit those anyway, didn't get that low this time.
I'm guessing you are joking Steve ;0)

I am surprised at how many i have come across now, 2 08 plates in Devon (grey and red), Black 2012 one in Essex and a 59 plate USB one in London on the A406 by Ealing.
They do look so much cooler than an M3 or a C63. They turn so many heads!

So who owned the 2008 ISF Caxton Slate in the car park?
You were parked behind us in the car park, was a nice surprise to come back too, wish I had brought mind along now.
They are getting common, seen 4 since I got mine now!

Great write up Neil!
A lot of these restrictions were present on my 350Z, it did change the performance of the car when I had swapped everything for aftermarket, but the big change was wiping the ECU for new software. I think I only saw 30bhp after spending loads though, trouble with NA engines.
That said, if in the ISF there may be 100bhp to release then it may be worth doing!
When you getting the F?
-
Good idea!
Will try that cheers!

Hello everyone,
So last night I was putting the ISF in the garage and another chap decided too be his car at the same time, so feeling rushed I wasn't concentrating and managed to catch the drivers side wheel arch on my pride and joy!
Result is a dent and potentially light paint (I will need to check again today in proper light when I have plucked up the courage!)
Any recommendations on any dent removal companies out there you have used before?
I don't want just anyone working on this car.
It's the Arctic Pearl White which I am nervous about the finish of any repair.
In North London / Enfield way.
Thanks!

I thought people tended to go for the Hawk ceramic pads to cut down on brake dust?
Think I will need pads too soon so I was going to go for those.

3 services for £660!!!!
Lexus Edgware Rd are quoting me £1200 for a 3 service plan.
Mine is a 2010 with 31k on the clock.
Am I being ripped off?
-
Nice to meet you and have a brief chat! Certainly one of the only times you will ever see an ISF pull up along side an ISF!!!
-
This car may have the USBthen, but it was an option.
I guess anyone spending this sort of money new could afford the option!!
It sounds a good clean car to me, just get a chunk off the price as they don't sell fast!
Shame you won't have lexus warranty, maybe use that as a bargaining chip!!
-
Surely it will have a USB port in the armrest?
If there is....it's a doddle, I plug my iPod in here and everything is displayed on the screen. Artist, albums, playlists etc.
The pre 10 cars didn't come with it as standard, it was a dealer option I believe and an expensive one.
All the pre 10's I viewed didn't have it, one of the big reasons I went for a post 10 car
-
Just had a look at the pics and it does look a nice car!
It doesn't have the latest stereo. You would have a DAB button at the bottom of the dash if it did, so iPod may not be integrated with the screen, just AUX. but you can get an aftermarket kit from the states that fixes that.
I would just try and chip a chunk off the price
I waited and kept going back every few weeks and managed to get a deal £5000 better than the deal originally offered.
Keep an eye on the Lexus Dealer network also and speak to your local dealer to see what they have available in their network.
Lexus Derby are pretty good and normally have one on site, speak to Stewart, I bought mine from him and he had 2x 2010 ones at the time. Lexus Reading always have a used one and Guildford normally too
Cheers

LSD is Limited Slip Differential, my car has a mechanical one, the older models had an electronic system that worked in a similar way but aren't as effective.
Still if you aren't going to be at the ring every other weekend, you probably won't even notice it!
The upgraded stereo features are awesome though, but you can get an aftermarket kit to do that job anyway.
I reckon if you play the long game you could barter quite a bit of money off that asking price.

Well mine was 2010 26000 miles in white, later spec with LSD and uprated stereo £28000 back in Jan, so price sounds right

Would be really keen to get one Damo, so any help appreciated, as would OP too!
I searched for hours the other night but only came up with the HPI racing 1:43 scale one as better than the Jcollection, but still not the right size
-
I have been searching everywhere for one and I don't think anyone makes one.
But if you find one please let me know, I desperately want one!
-
Thanks!
So I am right in thinking the sidelights on the F are LEDs as standard and the Fogs are normal bulbs, so I just have to get bright white versions of them 4000k or something for the fogs, for example the nightbreakers.
-
I'm sure this has all been discussed before, but I have searched here and tried some US forums and can't quite work it out.
The yellow bulbs on my IS-F bug me in the side lights and fogs. Has anyone done a straight bulb swap with white ones to match?
How easy was it to swap the bulb
And which ones should I buy?
I see a lot of LED ones on eBay, do these do the job?
Thanks!

Sorry, don't know why it posted 3 times!
I can't remove them either??

Main dealer wanted £290 (front) for discs and I think it was over £400 (front) for the pads.
I got the discs from Lexus at £260, as I get 10% off with my service plan and then went for the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads at £150. My garage is charging £50 to fit.
So £460 vs the £900 Lexus wanted. Not bad.
