  1. I 've always used Bridgestones (RE040's) on mine. I find them very grippy, but as squarehead rightly says, they will only do about 18k miles.(depending how you drive!) Also, whichever brand you buy, definately get one with the rim protector. It will save you scuffing your alloys. One last thing. Be very careful if you are buying tyres yourself and having them fitted. Many local tyre fitters are very clumsy, and the rims are very easily damaged. It's because of the very hard, very narrow profile of the tyre. Cheers Lofty
  2. People do this type of thing for one reason only....JEALOUSY They will never, ever own anything like this in their miserable lives, and the only time they'll ever drive one is when they rob one for the night! Sad, but true. ....And this is the price we'll all keep on paying because we choose to drive a class motor.
  3. Thanx Steve I'll try not to be such a Norbert next time.! :duh:
  4. Sorry for the triplicate post of "boot lid" the thing said."mail error" so i hit it again.....and again Im new to all this. It was much easier in the good old days. sorry again. lofty
  5. Hi all I'd like a bit of advice from you knowledgeable people, please. How do I remove the bit of plastic on the boot lid (above the 'plate) I believe it's called a 'boot lid handle'. (about 12" x 1" and houses the 'plate lamps) Hope that makes sense? I'll only bust it if I dont ask first! Thanx Lofty
  6. Sorry to hear that, Chris. I'm a "long time looker, first time poster" on this great forum. It's getting real bad, here in Leeds. I've been targeted by the thieving scrotes before, but luckily I keep my keys upstairs on a night. My spare sets live at my dad's house! The scum used a fishing rod (or the like) to poke through my letterbox and open the drawers in the 'phone cabinet in the hall. They did'nt get 'em. A friend of mine had his car swiped this way. Its easy to be wise after the event, but realistically, taking the keys is the only way they are gonna get the motor. When I spoke to the 'feds, they said that breaking into houses to take car keys is becoming the thieves preferred "weapon of choice". Sometimes I wonder if it's really worth owning a quality bit of kit? Hope it gets sorted real soon, m8. Lofty.
