Must have had a chip Inside the plastic part of the key, moulded into it, some chips are just chips and don't require a battery in the normal sense

Yeah that's what's confusing , the Americans seeme to be able to do it, but over here is a different matter..... And I can't believe we are that far behind

The key fits wverything, but only had one master key and that has been lost ... So that's where I am at

I have NO keys at all , except a mechanical one to get into the car, without a chip in it. Surely somebody on here has had a similar problem..... Please can somebody point me in the right direction . I heard some peolpe can reflash the ecu? It also has proximatey smart entry system Thankyou

You can programme the open and close of the doors by brake pedal and acell pedal pressing and opening doors or something..... There's a post on here for it mate somewhere with full instructions on how to do it ....

But surely if you got a secondhand key that means you could break into any lexus and start it, the non chip metal key won't go into the ignition as its only for a smart key, ie no elongated slit for the key to go into to turn the ignition ?

Yeah the problem is I have no chipped keys just a basic mechanical key to enter the car all the chipped programmed keys have been lost

Can anyone advise me of a company , in it around manchester , that can reflash my ecu on my 2002 ls430 and programme a new key. It's fit the usual smart entry start system. If you know who can do it, or if it's you personally please let me know as I have no keys at all, just a key to manually open it that I had cut as an emergency get In. I am losing the will to live here, as lexus said they don't reflash them and told me £2000 Cheers team , any advice would be great

Can anyone please tell me what I need for my ls430 2002 to replace the whole key system . What ecusdoni need Etc etc . If you know I would' be grateful as I have lost mine . Also how do I know it's a smart key system on the car it's coming off or where they all smart keys ?? Thankyou so much tearing my hair out here

Just my two bits as a mechanic. Never fit a spring by itself always fit in pairs; 1; if ones gone, chances are others aren't far behind 2; you wil have different strength of spring on either side, one weaker than the new one 3; aftermarket springs COULD have a different tensile/ strength than original . They ain't horrendous to do to be honest but it's a bulky job as the spring needs compressing before removal, do not do it yourself I have seen a spring shoot across a workshop and end up In a breeze block wall !!!! Thing is for safety fit a pair otherwise uneven braking etc. or fit a couple of used struts complete with springs , two 19 mm bolts on the hub upright , 4 13mm nuts on the top strut mount .... Bend the bottom arm out of the way by pushing down on it . Out comes your strut ..... Replace is reverse

In the uk market what is the basic spec for the ls430. I know they have the premium pack and optional extras, but from what I can gather the vast majority have been sold with rear sound system control and electric seats etc. did they do a basic model???

Just want the cheapest possible way to enter the car, get the ignition lock off( ie so I can steer the car) and then tow it home to give me chance to look at my options. So I need somebody who can get in a deactivate the steering lock, I think it won't rekease if the car doesn't electronically accept the key or is the lock purely mechanical ??? Bloody nightmare..... Do we know of a locksmith that can cut a key to get in and program at the car ?????

Yeah sadly no keys at all, hoping that by getting a key cut to the car from lexus I can manually open the door and release the ignition ... Unless its electronically controlled ? I mean because the batteries flat will it still release the ignition lock ?

Okay please please help ...... My 2002 ls430 is locked on a multi story car park.... I have no keys due to some b£:(()&d stealing them. If I get a new key cut from lexus, will thus enable me to unlock the ignition as my battery on the car is now flat or is the ignition on a solenoid? Can I get a new key cut and have it coded I. Once I get it to lexus? Any suggestions on getting in or moving the car with no keys would be very much appreciated ..... Just don't wNt to buy a new key from lexus and find it would have been better to get new lock set etc from a wreckers ...... Please help .... Running out of ideas . Thankyou
