  1. Thank you for the link, very interesting indeed. Its kinda good to know we aren't the only ones with this,but...I agree on oil changes done more often, watch the dealer like a hawk, cos those mechanics just don't give a flying gasket about someone else's car. Apology to the ones that do. By oil in a barrel i meant a toyota approved oil that comes in large barrels, fully syntetic Shell,or whatever brand they use, instead of gallon containers, not the barrels straight from the ship :-) You guys have been very helpfull. New car is about to by bought, the LS460 after facelift,so looking forward to that. Will def pay more attention to its maintenance. This car is for sale, btw :-) Cheers from Slovakia
  2. Thank you guys for your imput, its exactly what i thought. The car is owned by Japanese govt. and such has to be serviced by Toyota itself,no chance to take it elsewhere. Dealer said they've always used oil from Toyota that comes in barrels. It was hard to prove them wrong,so co.payed the bill,to them! around 5000Euro to get it sorted. We are at the brink of buying new car from them, but i have my doubts about seriesness of this dealer. Unfortunately its the only dealer here we can deal with.
  3. Hello everyone,i am new here and would kindly ask for your opinion regarding my troubles. I will post few pictures here for you to kindly comment on. To explain,we had our lexus serviced by dealer by the book, and what you see on pictures is not something we expected to see after 100000 kms and regular oil changes. To get this sorted has cost us lots of money and i suspect foul play by the dealer. I suspect those oil changes were not done properly, nicely said. Dealers explanation was, many short runs, cold start ups could easily cause this to happen. I call BS. Thanks for taking time to read this and i welcome any comments. Cheers.
