    Thanks for the replies I will probably be doing about 12000 milles a year so can justify a diesel, and I will do a far bit of motoway driving so can hopefully can keep the EGR in good order Thanks John

    Hello I have my eye on a IS220d 2009 59 plate with low mileage. However after reading some of the problems with head gasket and EGR I am having second thoughts. My question is, was it only the earlier diesel models that were effected and are the later lower emission units (148g/km) any better. Thanks John
