The f sport gear knob has just arrived from the US. it worked out to be $72 or £48ish (because paypal give a rubbish exchange rate) Put the black liquid shoe polish on and looks great. result

Thanks for the keen eyed spot - they'd put the 245 on the front on one side! Will get that swapped over. The cost was £75 per wheel as I chose to have them dipped to address the corrosion and also the paint I chose was quite pricey. The finish is excellent and the guy I used said he put a few extra layers of lacker on as the colour was so sparkley! They better last!!!!

So, just came back from getting the wheels refurbished. In the end i went with a punt and opted for Nissan's 'Gun Metallic' Grey (code KAD). Personally i love them, they have a lot of sparkle to them and really set the car off. Unfortunately I had to drive home through so many muddy puddles but you get the idea.

Thanks Carl - will keep an eye out as there doesn't seem too much choice out there. My only reservation is the blue stitching against my grey leather interior.

Hi Guys - I'm toying with the idea of changing my manual leather gear knob as its looking a bit worn. I cannot see a replacement oem part advertised anywhere but like the look of the F-Sport leather and carbon fiber gear knob. These look good but seem expensive £85 on eBay. Has anyone purchased one of these or something similar? Any thoughts / recommendations would be appreciated

Which is the lighter of the two colours? Anthracite or gun metal? Do you have any pictures / colour code? I want to book mine in this week.

Not on the lexus but I swapped out an oem fitted xenon on a mini and replaced it with a retrofit ballast and bulb, worked a treat at a fraction of the cost bmw wanted. Be careful on eBay though as there is so much rubbish... Even AC kits for £30-£40 quid which I image would be dangerous! I used www.hidcity.co.uk as saw them at the classic show at the NEC. Next job is replacing the halogen dip beams on the IS250. Carl911 - sounds to me like the ballast as they control the bulb and are most prone to failure

I'm in the same predicament. Looked into the gun metal grey on the newer sport model. I believe the colour code is 11GY39. Let us know what you decide

Hi All. Hoping someone could help I have recently picked up a 55 plate is250 and love it. I have however notice that the lip of the rear left wheel arch is corroding - not what you'd expect from a 8 year old lexus! As there isn't any other corrosion anywhere else I'm wondering if there car has been in a minor accident and repaired badly, or is simply suffering with a minor corrosion problem. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm wondering if I'm worth taking it to Lexus or if they'll fob me off. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
