  1. Great price that but no idler in the kit,so that would be additional cost, still a great price though.

I purchased a Gaites kit a few weeks back for £125.99 that includes ina tensioner and idler, you can't get bertter than Gaites belts, they supply most car manufacturers anyway. I also got the 3 auxillary belts,Gaites again for £28.99.

    Thanks.Lee.

Lee where did you get the Gaites kit from? And are they a superior up grade to the lexus genuine parts?

All nuts are still tight and every thing looks like it should do other than the top mount is sitting far to high, has anyone got any ideas whats gone wrong? Its cost me a small fortune this week the car with stuff going wrong when I was doing suspension then the next day the radiator decided to explode im nearly at boiling point with it lol

  4. You can got to a lock smith and get them to do a lock barrel to your key or I had to do this years ago when I had a cavalier which was heavily modified with no door handles onlt door poppers under the mirrors (when rhis type of thing was in fashion lol) I ran two thick amplifier positive and negative wires from my Battery to under the bumper grill with caps on so if Battery died I could attach jump leads to the cable which gave enough power to open car ;)

  5. Lol fair enough if they can only go in that way its not that haha, its probably one of these situations whereyou should just go get a bru eat your tea then have another look just double check absolutely everything (as im sure you have been doing already)

  6. This may be a silly question as I dont know the cam set up on these cars but are the cams on the correct sides, im only asking because a couple of years ago my mate built a fiesta zetec turbo had it all running etc for a few months then needed to change something when he built it back up had the same problem it wouldn't turn over by hand, my mates a mechanic at vauxhall he couldnt find tge problem sosent car away to the garage that originaly set the car up and mapped it they couldn't find what was wrong then one of our other mates just walked in one day and said " the inlet cam is one the exhaust side you d**k" lol cams swapped over and car ran sweet. Not sure like iv said if the is engine is the same type of set up as I havent stripped mine yet lol

  7. @tomfowler Don't bother getting Halfords to fit it - do it yourself. Replacing the head unit on the IS200 is the easiest I've ever come across. You have loads of room to access the cables, compared to my old Calibra where you had to connect the cables and shove the head unit hoping for the best...

trying to balance the cd player on the gear nob half in the slot so you can try and plug the ariel in while shoving the loom down the back because the player wont go all the way in hahaha how I miss my calibra
