The DVDs are all European, I've tried several. I don't have any non UK discs to check to see if that's the issue.

Hi, I've searched through the forums, but so far haven't found an answer to this particular issue... My rear DVD player (built in Lexus unit with the monitors in the headrests) will not play DVDs, it doesn't recognise the discs and just spits them out. I have successfully 'played' a lens cleaning disc, but a DVD with films on it won't load. Do any of you have any ideas what I could try? Are there settings I need to check (I don't have the manual for the entertainment system). Thanks in advance Andy

I hadn't considered another 'proper' 4x4 as I still have the Hilux with the V8. I was actually looking at an Audi A6 when I saw the RX, the RX seemed to suit my needs a bit better, so I bought it.

Hi all, second post - first two questions. I have just bought a 2006 RX400h, as I'm the curious type, I've been looking around to see what can be reached and what can't. I took the two clips out of the sides of the glove box to get a better look behind it and noticed 2 possible problems. The first one is that there's a screw down near the bottom of the glove box, the screw isn't screwed fully in and has nothing attached to it. Anyone got any idea what it is? The second thing I noticed is a white thing with a black wire coming out of it, the wire doesn't go anywhere. Again, do any of you know what it is and where the wire should go? Both of these things can be seen in the picture below. Thanks

Hi all, Before I start asking the usual newbie questions, I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Andy; I'm grumpy, old, pedantic and live in Central Scotland. I've had Hilux Surf's for about 10 years (still have one with a Lexus V8 fitted) and recently bought a RX400h. Apart from a couple of niggles, some of which may be my fault, and some rattles; I'm very pleased with it. I'll iron out the niggles using common sense and the site's search functions, but there are 2 wee issues I think I need some advice on. I'll post them in the RX section, not here. Anyway, here's hoping for a long and happy relationship. Andy
