  1. The dealers normally let you choose from a list of plates they have but you cannot normally transfer these off the car if you like them anyway. I will have a private plate on mine... I am only waiting for the new plate as it may give the car a slightly better resale value.
  2. Looking at the video I think both drivers just planted their foot to the floor... just like a typical traffic light drag race! I think the factory set 0-60 of the merc was done using a launch start as they want to get the best time possible. So maybe in real life driving the 300h is just as fast or a little faster than it's competition!
  3. Won't be long now mine is at the dealership just waiting for the new registration too! :)
  4. If you launch a Prius in this way it will do 0-30 in just over 2 seconds (as long as its dry)! You can surprise many faster cars!
  5. I like the ride... of even the F Sport. It is firmer than you would expect a Lexus to be but no not as firm as my wife's BMW M-Sport.
  6. This works a treat on the Prius... If you let the revs build even for just a second or two before releasing the brake the car seems to shoot off the line much quicker than just pressing the accelerator. I think the IS300h should work the same... who will be the first to brave it with their new car! :)
  7. Having ordered the new car I have been doing the usual research and came across these two videos: Showing the new is300h vs a Merc Auto 250cdi Now the Merc is meant to do 0-62 in 7.1s and the 300h in 8.3 yet the hybrid beats the Merc easily and the driver of the 300h did not even do the unofficial hybrid launch start! So someone's calulations are out either Merc are overstating the numbers or Lexus understating!
  8. Just out of curiosity I see some contries get the LED or the option of LED headlights... We get the standard Xenon HID but no LED. I was just wondering whey this was?
  9. That seems about the right money... I bought the adaptive air suspension on the last Merc I had and only really used it three times to wade through puddles... So that worked out at about £500 per puddle :) From the information available on the Lexus version it just seems like it just changes the compression rates on the dampers so I wouldn't even get to use it on puddles!
  10. Thanks for the welcome... Yes the car will be at the dealers this week... I am just waiting for my private plate to be taken off of the Prius... DVLA seem to take forever nowadays... Also as it is a private purchase I will wait for the new plate change for September. The blue looks fatastic on the car having had so many black or white cars over the last few years blue will make a nice change. Looking at the brochure they say the F Sport has the option of the adaptive suspension... I was never offered this... Seems to need you to have the navigation option but is not listed in the price list... does this mean it comes with the navigation option? Just curious as the sport seems firm enough anyway!
  11. Hi... New member here. I have not had a Lexus since a 1998 LS 400. I tried to buy a CT200 a couple of years ago but ended up with a Prius but really like the Hybrid drive... I swapped a Jag XFR for the prius and really havn't missed the power although I did miss the luxury which is what tempted me to get the IS300h. So hopefully at the begining of September I will have an Ultra Blue F Sport. I only opted for the Nav as I liked the standard interior and there were not too many other options.
