  1. I have noticed the same thing Bigbullhead. I dont even use the 6th gear. It seems that you need to drive over 90mph for the engine to rum smooth, otherwise i get some vibration as it would be reving to low.
  2. Yeah i think i should but what do i check out ? Seems to run fine just mpg is not so great :/ Someone said to me that if dpf is a little blocked it would reduce mpg. But even then i think it would show some sort of fault.
  3. I dont know what you guys are talking about. My lexus is220d does no more than 30mpg. No matter where you drive or how u drive. And you guys talk about 47mpg on a stretch :DD i feel sad now :(
  4. I will get some of these additives. And i have cleaned the egr valve a few weeks back :) thanks for the response mate. :P this forum is turning out to be very useful :)

  6. Yeah i drive daily 50miles on m11 but hardly pushing it. I think i might just take it on the motorway and push it a little. Where can i find that additive to buy ? Thanks martin80
  7. I think you can, just need to retrofit the plug and wire it to the indicator on the wing. I don't recon it would be do difficult if you have any knowledge about wires :)
  8. I fitted a brushed aluminium richbrook gearknob from Halfords, 30£ and It looks great, but you need to saw off around 3-4mm of the gear shifter pole so it looks nice and low and still shift into reverse, also you can then remove that silly sticker with gear pattern on the panel below, because it matches the gear pattern on the gearknob. it took me around 20 mins to fit but now I don't regret it . ;) its the little details that make the difference
  9. I paid 100£ in www.fastlanestyling.co.uk supply and fit, great customer service and brilliant results. and on top of that you get a fancy key ring :D its in Romford, Essex.
  10. I have done a custom twin exhaust on one side, looks great and sounds even better, especially when you give it the beans ;) I would attach a photo but I cant figure out how to do so, just go on my profile, I will make it my profile photo, ;P
  11. i have seen a quite a few on ebay and they seem to do what you are after, I was thinking of getting one for my self because the mpg is not the greatest on the lexus and 175bhp sounds a lot for a diesel but don't feel like it when driving. I think im gona have to experiment with one box and see how it goes. just abit worried about the overfueling and messing up the DPF. :/
  12. im experiencing a problem with an engine I think. when im cruising at 50mph in 5th gear or so, it seems to judder or make some sort of sluggish power loss, it does it for a few seconds and then I accelerate and you wont feel that for another week or so, it puts doubts in my head and I don't know if I should worry about it or not, otherwise the car I lovely. should I just try some fuel additive or something ? what should I use ? thanks guys
  13. Thanks fpr the welcome guys. :)
