I have recently bought an IS220D SEL, 2008 reg with 46000 miles on it. I had an AA vehicle inspection done and all in all was classed to be very sound, which it is. The only advisories was wheel balance and front discs and pads, which I have had done. However I have a vibration which I get more when cold, usually when the car is under load, and more when turning left. Strange I know.
I have had it checked and a couple of places said wheel bearing. I have had this done and the vibration is still there. I do have a very small case of clutch judder but as I say, very slight. Also the vibration definitely feels as its coming form the front right, being rear wheel drive is why we opted for wheel bearing.
The garage I have used have been great and I do have to pay something but no-where near what it could have cost. But it does have the garage stumped as they have had it all day and played around with various things.
Swapped engine mounts to see if this was the cause.
Swapped wheels
Taken off various engine covers
Looked at exhaust to see if its banging
Crow barred suspension joints etc to ensure nothing is loose
So my question. Has anyone else had the same problem? If so what did you come across.
Many Thanks
