Congratulations on the purchase, a few long days/nights to go until you collect now then!
the RX450h is a lovely car, and one I'm interested in moving to when I upgrade my IS250. Best bet with the RX350 would be to have a flick through autotrader etc to get a feel for what similar vehicles are being listed for.

Door open or key not detected in car?
-
Tax and MOT will not change in cost.
Insurance will no doubt increase a little when you declare your mods but the amount will depend on many factors.
Yes, it will be harder to sell as you are limiting your market to only those people wanting a modified one with similar tastes to you.

Absolutely memorising! Looks fantastic, how much did this set you back? Will be frustrating when it gets dirty!

Tried it on my IS250:

Used it a couple more times since and have been quite pleased with it. There is a discount available for Gold members too.

.... and 'ASC' is?
By the way Lexus Teesside is only about 45 minutes from you if you live on the north side of York. They give outstanding service to me.

And RRG is?

RRG is the company that owns that Lexus dealer.

Looks great. I'm actually considering an RX450h for my next car, but will probably be the old (current) model.

I've had interference a couple of times where it wouldn't unlock. Kept trying and eventually got in. Drove to another location and all was well again!
Also, my Wife and I have a key each and on a number of occasions she has left her key in her bag in the boot. On trying to lock the car, it makes a beeping sounds and will not lock.
-
What have you replaced it with?
-
Hi Stefano, welcome!
-
I've driven from the UK to Hannover a couple of times and found plenty of unrestricted Autobahn too, along with quite a few restricted sections.
My general experience was that it was not as relaxing as other motorway driving because of the massive variation in speed from trucks and slow people sitting in the slow to Porsche and Audi RS owners doing 150mph + in the fast lane. Also the trucks can surprise you when pulling out into the middle lanes constantly and even driving in the fast lane at 110mph you will often get people approaching you very fast from behind.
Cruising at 130mph plus seems to keep (most) people off your backside but then again it's not exactly relaxing or indeed safe with any form of traffic and you're using quite a bit of fuel!
It's a good experience to try but personally I would rather just sit with cruise control on at 130kph on a near empty French toll road :)

Hi John, congrats on the purchase I'm sure 5 pm cannot come soon enough!

SE-L is top of the range and has all the toys. You need to find one with the multimedia pack to get ML audio, Nav and reverse camera though...

Hi welcome! :)
Did you modify the car yourself or did you buy it "as is"?
-
Hi Paul welcome!
-
I'd say say keep it stock. Looks classy and sophisticated as is IMO B)
-
If I was buying an LS I think I would want ALL the gadgets and would have to get the SE-L with rear entertainment. That being said I like the dark exterior/cream interior combo on the SE

Thanks! It's such a shame Lexus never sold the IS350 here. Not quite sure of the logic behind selling the ISF here but not the 350, but ours is not to reason why I suppose!
I've got it in the workshop now to replace various bits and pieces. Then I'm going to tone it down a bit - it's a little too boy-racer for my liking at the moment
Look forward to seeing the results. I would have done the same with the boy racery stuff. Would prefer to have it as more of a street sleeper with maybe one or two flashy bits!

Does the car have one?
I was messing with the settings during dinner break a few days ago - looking through the manual setting the memory settings for the seat/mirrors etc and getting them to reset back to where they have been set to when you open the door using the remote.
I managed to do this by following the manual but you need to do this while in the car. I managed to lock the car (while it was not running) while I was sitting in it by using the remote key buttons - a few seconds later the alarm came on - I probably set it off but was wondering if I set off a panic alarm using the key fob (some cars have them and I don't know if this one does)
.... took what seemed like ages to figure out how to turn the alarm off though !!
Setting the memory positions to the remote is an awesome feature. So useful when more than one of you drive the car!

Interesting - the first I've seen of this. My dash isn't sticky thankfully! :)

You should definitely treat us to a few more photos!

I'm the new owner, and quite chuffed with it too! The thing goes like the clappers... haven't had a chance to get it dyno'd yet, as there are a few things that need putting right with it.
Insurance on this was actually pretty reasonable, at £780, in London!
Congratulations on your purchase, I'm very jealous! B)

Pretty good Steve, my car only seems to return about 25mpg around town although I suspect the wife and her heavy right foot are bringing the average down slightly when she drives it!
-
Wow that's impressive. Yes the next time I filled up my range was looking pretty good but it's now dropping with the usual town driving of course :(
Best Wax?

Personal preference really. I'm a fan of Meguiars Ultimate Wax which is around £20-£25 I believe. Then use the change to get something else like clay/polish etc.
