Well that’s not good at all. Looks like if I am to go electric Lexus are not the ones to go to.

Pop your reg and mileage into webuyanycar to get an idea of value. You may get a bit more if you’re lucky. Dealers often send these out if they want specific cars.
real question is what would you change into, and why, and at what cost?
I was not even thinking about changing it but now the seed has been planted.
i fancy going electric but the UX is old and the RZ is a fortune.

Hi all,
I have a CT200 Fsport on a 19 plate with 27 thousand miles on the clock and the Lexus dealership I bought it from has texted asking to buy it back.
I still have around 16 months before I pay it off and was wondering has anyone had the dealership wanting to buy back there car?this is the text I received just around closing time of the dealer.
Hi Mr Fxxxxxxx
WE WANT YOUR CAR!
Used Lexus are in high demand at the moment, meaning we cannot replenish our forecourt quick enough.
If you would consider selling your Ct Hatchback back to us, we would love to offer you an extremely competitive price. For details please contact me directly..

Received an email from current insurer that they are unable to provide a renewal quotation.
Normally use a cash back site for quotes, again have received ''We don't insure this type of car'.
Last year it was £229, cheapest similar quote now £339!
What is the problem? Anyone else with similar car having issues?
Yes just had the problem! Paid last year £360 with the AA and that’s with a couple of extras like accident cover and legal. Tried the comparisons and could not get cheaper than £500 without the extras. Tried AA and again to discuss renewal as they wanted closer to £600 and managed to get it for £453 with same cover as last year. Not ideal but better than what I was being quoted, the lady from the AA said car insurance has gone up 30% this year.

Yes. Except for finding parking space.
Size is OK for us if rear seat is not too cramped. The UX rear seat is less good than the one in CT with same driver seat positioning.
Still hoping that there will come a small hydrogen car before the CT must retire.
Can’t take credit for the below from @wivenhoe I’m hoping it’s same if not slightly better legroom in the back

This is very interesting about the length I’m wondering if it will feel bigger or the same with how the interior is layer out and Battery placement

Same power but higher revving engine and a poor/cheap rear suspension design (on the FWD model) - not sure it's an 'upgrade' over the CT200h in those areas. I doubt the fuel economy will be much better than the CT200h.
That is a good shout about the rear suspension so 4wd could be the better option but the cost will be a premium

It's equipped with a 3cyl 1.5 lt engine now and states 134bhp which I think is a step up from the CT200h. It is also about 70kg lighter so doubt it will be as roomy as the CT Dunno!
Even if it's a little bigger I will be fine with me my needs. The only thing I am not sure about is the less of a spindle grill, I love how the F sports grill looks and the way Lexus is going is ok but only looks like the bottom half will just be the grill and the rest make-up the outline of the spindle grill if you know what I mean.
To me, the last facelift CT is still a good-looking car considering the age of how long the CT has been around.

That is my concern is the room in the back and boot space if there is more room then i will seriously consider as at the moment UX seems to be default next Lexus.
as you a test drive is a must and for power I think is the same as the CT but more than it’s sister version in the Yaris Cross

Hi all,
I assume most have seen the new Lexus LBX by now?
reading articles and it’s been mentioned it’s smaller than the CT200h which is a shame as I would have been interested or still could be when I actually see one in the flesh to maybe change.
with the new spec names I wonder which one is more like an F sport any ideas or you think an F sport will come later?
what are people’s thoughts on the new model?

As soon as I got mine I booked it in for a CATLOC at my local Lexus dealer just to make it more difficult and the fact it’s a small price to pay than a replacement cat

Have had my cat loc installed as soon as I got the car thought it’s a lot cheaper than having to pay for a replacement CAT

I have it on my 2019 CT however needs to be updated as some cameras have been removed and I'm still getting the beep

I've been waiting for it to get a bit milder too, but now that it has it's raining.
As soon as I get a window of mild and dry weather I'll give it a quick wash and rinse the underside with the lawn sprinkler.
I'm waiting too as at the moment it's still zero degrees.
Quick snow foam and a good jet wash.
That's a good idea about the underside

Hi all,
has anyone been braving the cold weather to clean their car?
Was planning to do it but its been 0 degrees most days!

Thanks Joel, link worked perfectly and I have placed an order
Just hope I can fit them without too much difficulty. I assume they come with directions.
Very grateful
I have not opened the package yet as I'm going to fit them later as I don't want to make the same mistake and rip the rubber blade again lol

Hi Joel, can't seem to find that deal on the Lexus site, are you able to send me a link please? It's two years since I replaced just the front blades which I had fitted at Halfords - and the cost then was £40. Thanks a million.

forgot about the delivery charge however they came 24hrs later and you have OEM and not after market if you prefer OEM like i do.

Just order a wiper pack from Lexus and I get all 3 wiper blades plus 250ml of screen wash for £34 which is not bad from main dealer.

Hi all,
Tried to be careful this morning with my wioer blades but the frost was a lot stronger than I thought so have split the top of the wiper blade of the passenger side.
So with it being split I now need a new blade but will change both so my question is do people go OEM or 3rd party like bosch
Regards
Joel

Hi all,
I don't know if any of you guys and girls have had the same frustrations as me when it comes to finding a neat and useful place to position and secure you mobile phones whilst driving. There's not alot of compatible phone holders on the market for the CT200H especially in the UK.
However I have recently found a good option for a phone holder that you do not have to mount onto the heater vents and risk damaging them, or having your phone snatched especially if you live in London.
Please take a look at the following link:
I have recently installed this into the vacant slot that sits near front passenger seat. All I had to do was stick the base straight on using the 3M adhesive pad and the phone holder slots straight in without any hassle. Pretty solid hold for my Samsund S20 plus!
Could we have a picture with the phone attached just want to see how the phone sits as I have a large Iphone.

Absolutely, John. If this is now a common method of attack then surely it’s something Lexus should be addressing during manufacture.
Perhaps as a stop gap, Lexus dealers could be doing it on new cars - or offering it as a service for older ones.
Suppose this is not going to be much of an issue now since the CT has stopped production and you don’t see that many in the road so I doubt Lexus will do anything else for the CT. As for the other models I’m sure they have future proofed them.

I’m happy with what came on the car and will prob go for the same again when it comes to replace again. I do like the cross climate tires but feel the side walls make the tyres look bigger than they are.
Not good news.

Also read Jim1977 review further up and it doesn’t sound great for range. Plus I don’t keep my car for 20 years so that’s haha
